Abstract

Selon l'invention, l'additif comprend A un acide carboxylique, B un alcool, C un sel qui est choisi dans le groupe constitué par un sel de métal alcalin, un sel de métal alcalino-terreux, un sel d'ammonium et un de leurs mélanges ; et E éventuellement de l'eau. Le procédé de la présente invention comprend l'ajout de l'additif selon la présente invention à une solution de polymère et le mélange homogène du mélange résultant. L'additif de la présente invention permet de terminer efficacement des extrémités de chaînes polymères vivantes et permet de détruire des centres actifs catalytiques. Par ailleurs, l'additif de la présente invention permet de réduire sensiblement la viscosité d'une solution de polymère.
