Abstract

Ce type de mini-guêtre, avec pièce d'usure, est couramment développé sur le marché par de très nombreux fabricants. La mini-guêtre ne recouvre qu'une partie de la tige de la chaussure et des zones importantes restent non protégées et en particulier dans la partie basse du laçage de la chaussure. L'utilisation et mise en oeuvre de plaque d'usure permet une mise en tension de la mini-guêtre latéralement de part et d'autre de la chaussure. Il s'agit d'un accessoire important mais de par son positionnement et sa fonction il est nécessaire de la changer régulièrement par suite de sa détérioration, de par son contact avec le sol et l'environnement immédiat des zones de marche. En toute hypothèse, les brevets précités n'assurent aucune fonction de protection de la chaussure en tant que telle dans son ensemble. La mise en place de la mini-guêtre apparaît par ailleurs relativement délicate. Cette mise en oeuvre est extrêmement empirique et requiert une certaine dextérité pour l'ouvrier cordonnier pour assurer une pose satisfaisante du ruban au cas par cas. Cette disposition particulière est exclusivement utilisée pour les courses dans le désert pour la protection contre le sable. On constate néanmoins certains inconvénients notamment celui du montage, mais aussi celui de l'encrassement du ruban et de ses parties auto-agrippantes, ce qui tend, avec le temps, à réduire les performances de fixation..
