Description
The invention relates to a device for treating water, in particular pool water. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION There are known water treatment devices by salt electrolysis, in particular pool water. For this purpose, the pool is equipped with a salinizer comprising a housing or vase in which an electrode is installed. It is simply recalled that the salt consists of soda and chlorine. Salt electrolysis separates these two components and recombines them to generate sodium hypochlorite. The slightly salty water passes between plates of the electrode and an electrochemical reaction of salt oxidation takes place. It is converted to hypochlorous acid. This natural active chlorine destroys bacteria and micro-organisms in the water and naturally converts back to salt under the action of ultraviolet radiation from the sun. It is difficult in service to examine the state of the electrode, except to disassemble it.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The object of the invention is in particular to facilitate the in-service monitoring of the electrode. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION In view of achieving this goal, there is provided a device for treating water, in particular pool water, by salt electrolysis, comprising the following elements: a receiving vessel of a electrode in which flows the water to be treated; - A removable electrode comprising plates carried by a base adapted to be trapped between a neck of the vessel and a closure nut of the vessel; a cover for covering electrical contacts carried by the base of the electrode while letting a power cable pass.
According to the invention, at least one of the elements of the vessel or cover is translucent, the base of the electrode also carrying at least one light-indicating diode of at least one functional state of the electrode.
Thus, by visually inspecting the vessel of the salinizer which is immersed, one immediately distinguishes whether one or more diodes are lit, thus informing immediately on the state of the electrode. There is no need to disassemble to inspect.
DESCRIPTION DETAILLEE DE L'INVENTION On a représenté le vase 1 d'un salinisateur. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES The invention will be better understood in the light of the following description of the single appended figure showing in partial section an electrode disposed in the vessel of a water treatment or salinizer device according to a particular embodiment of the invention. embodiment of the invention. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION There is shown the vessel 1 of a salinizer. The vessel 1 has a neck 2 on which is seated the base 3 of a removable electrode 4. The electrode 4 carries a number of plates 5 (only one of them is referenced) which, when are fed with current, cause the polarization of the water between and the plates and electrochemical reactions mentioned above. The plates 5 are carried by the base 3 to extend into the vessel 1. The base 3 carries a cathode 6 and an anode 7 which are connected to a power supply by means of a cable 8 which passes through a cover 9 covering the base 3. The base 3 and the cover 9 are pressed against the neck 2 of the vessel 1 by means of a nut 10 screwed onto a thread of the neck 2 of the vessel 1. A seal 11 is interposed between the base 3 and the neck 2 of the vase 1. All this is well known and is recalled only to situate the context of the invention. According to the invention, the base 3 carries a printed circuit board 20 forming a support for a number of light-emitting diodes, or LEDs 21. Here, the support 20 is held by nuts screwed on the cathode 6 and the anode 7 , so that the support 20 is electrically powered directly by the cathode and the anode. The diodes 21 are used to indicate the functional state of the electrode. For example, the following non-limiting color code may be used: green diode on: the electrode is polarized according to a first polarity; - blue diode on: the electrode is polarized according to a second polarity; - red diode illuminated in addition to one of the two preceding diodes: the electrode is active but has an operating voltage greater than the nominal voltage, which indicates either that the electrode is at the end of its life, or that There is not enough salt in the water, or there is no water in the vase. It is of course easy for those skilled in the art to make the corresponding electrical circuit. To make these diodes visible from the outside, different possibilities are envisaged within the scope of the invention, which can be implemented independently or simultaneously. the cover 9 can be made of translucent material; - The vase 1 can be made of translucent material. It is then necessary, if the diodes are as here arranged on the side of the base 3 opposite the vase, but illuminating towards the vase, provide a base 3 also translucent. If necessary, the base can be given an optically advantageous shape (for example concave or convex faces as illustrated) in order to facilitate the diffusion of light through the base or to increase its visibility; - The nut itself can be translucent, to increase the visibility of the diodes.
The provisions of the invention have several advantages: the operating state of the electrode can be apprehended at a glance, either by visualization of the colors as here or by visualization of a number of lit diodes ; - The diodes used to illuminate the interior of the vessel 1, which, in addition to an interesting aesthetic effect, allows to directly visualize the release of gas in the vicinity of the electrode, thus attesting to the proper operation of the device. The illumination also makes it possible to check the presence of a flow of water in the vessel 1. The invention is not limited to what has just been described, but on the contrary covers any variant falling within the scope defined by the revendications. In particular, rather than a distinct color code, other codes can be used, such as the following, based on the number of diodes on: a lit diode for the first aforementioned event, two diodes lit for the second, three diodes and four diodes lit depending on whether the overvoltage occurs in one or the other of the polarities, the diodes being of the same color. The number of functional states of the electrode indicated by the diodes is not limiting, and it will of course be possible to indicate other functional states.
