Abstract

The assembly (10) has an upper decorating element (14) or cornice fixed with a structural element (12) using a fixing unit. A reinforcement unit connects the upper decorating element with the structural element to prevent disengagement of the upper decorating element from the structural element when a lateral airbag is deployed. The reinforcement unit comprises a flexible retaining band i.e. retaining net (30), fixed to the upper decorating element and the structural element. Ensemble de décoration pour une portière de véhicule automobile en présence d'un coussin gonflable latéral La présente invention concerne un ensemble de décoration pour une portière de véhicule automobile, susceptible d'être sollicité par un coussin gonflable latéral de sécurité en cas de choc. On connaît déjà dans l'état de la technique, notamment d'après US 6 991 279, un ensemble de décoration destiné à équiper une portière de véhicule automobile, en présence d'un coussin gonflable latéral de sécurité, également appelé « airbag », propre à solliciter l'ensemble de décoration en cas de choc. Généralement, le coussin gonflable latéral est agencé dans un siège, faisant face à la portière. L'ensemble de décoration comporte : - un élément structurel, - un élément décoratif supérieur, également appelé bandeau, fixé avec l'élément structurel au moyen de premiers moyens de fixation, - des moyens de renfort, reliant l'élément décoratif supérieur avec l'élément structurel. Lorsque le coussin gonflable se déploie, il exerce un important effort sur l'élément décoratif supérieur, et sur les premiers moyens de fixation, si bien que ces premiers moyens de fixation risqueraient de rompre et que l'élément décoratif supérieur risquerait d'être projeté par le coussin gonflable dans l'habitacle du véhicule automobile, s'ils n'étaient pas renforcés par les moyens de renfort. Ainsi, les moyens de renfort sont destinés à empêcher que l'élément décoratif supérieur se désolidarise de l'élément structurel lorsque le coussin gonflable se déploie. Dans US 6 991 279, les moyens de renfort comportent un élément de renfort rigide. Un tel élément rigide est parfois difficile à adapter à la géométrie de l'élément structurel de la portière, pour des raisons d'hyperstatisme. Une bande flexible ne présente pas de problème d'hyperstatisme et peut donc être facilement adaptée à la géométrie de l'élément structurel et de l'élément décoratif supérieur pour sa fixation sur ces éléments. En outre, on peut prévoir des moyens de fixation de la bande flexible qui ne risquent pas de se rompre lors du déploiement du coussin gonflable.
