Abstract

The tent (1) has a canvas (2) that covers and stretches on arches (3) and which has an opening with a zip fastener. The fastener having a slide (16) delimits an access door (4) with a vertical hinge line (8), where the slide is situated near a free end (3a) of at least an arch. The door extends vertically in a frame of the arch and is stored in a storage bag (15) after folding the door along a vertical folding axis.

Description

TENT WITH MEANS OF STORAGE FOR THE DOOR

  The present invention relates to a tent comprising structural elements and a fabric capable of covering and being stretched over said elements.

  It relates more particularly to a tent whose canvas comprises a cutout with closure means, in particular zipper, defining an access door.

  The portion of canvas that serves as an access door remains integral with the rest of the fabric in an area that corresponds in some way to the opening hinge of the door.

  In the case of a tent with an old structure, with a central stake and a triangular cross-section, the access door is formed by a vertical cut along the median vertical plane of the tent and the access door is formed by the two triangular portions on either side of the vertical cut.

  When one wants to keep the access door open, one rolls on itself each of the triangular portions and is attached by a link which is provided for this purpose at the connecting line between this triangular portion and the rest of the canvas, line that is in a way one of the hinges of the access door.

  Thus, during its storage, the two triangular portions acting as an access door remain visible on the outside of the tent. In addition, if the winding and fixing are not done carefully, this storage can be particularly unsightly.

  These disadvantages are found in the same manner regardless of the configuration of the tent and the door, it is made in one piece or in several parts as in the old structure 3o recalled above.

  The purpose of the present invention is to provide a tent with access door which overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks.

  This object is perfectly achieved by the tent of the present invention which comprises, in known manner, structural elements and a fabric covering and stretched on said elements, in which fabric is formed a cutout, with closure means, in particular closure at slide, delirnitant an access door with a vertical or substantially vertical hinge line extending near a structural element, in the vertical or substantially vertical direction of said element.

  In a characteristic manner, according to the present invention, the tent comprises means for storing the door, after folding of the latter along a vertical or substantially vertical axis of folding.

  Thus, according to the particular arrangement of the present invention, storage means allow to hide the door when it is fully open after folding along the hinge line or to give an aesthetic layout of the folded door in a position of partial opening.

  In an alternative embodiment, for a complete opening of the door with the axis of folding which corresponds to the hinge line, said tent corn door: a) a piece of cloth, forming screen, which extends substantially vertically to the outside of the tent from said hinge line and b) a storage pocket, which serves as a storage means, said pocket being formed in the inner face of the screen adjacent to the hinge line, so that the door can be folded along the hinge line and housed in the storage pocket.

  In this case, the entire door, once stored in the storage pocket, is no longer visible inside the tent, which is a plus for both the aesthetic appearance and the clutter of the interior space of the tent.

  In the present text the notion of substantially vertical is related in particular to the implementation as elements of structure of arches whose ends rest on the ground. The hinge line can, in this case, follow the curvature of the lower part of the hoop and therefore not strictly vertical but, as indicated above, substantially vertical.

  When the structural element is a hoop, the door occupies the entire interior space of the hoop with just a portion of fabric 1 o constituting the door frame, below the hoop.

  According to an alternative embodiment, the screen has a triangular shape, one side of which is connected to the fabric and whose apex opposite said side is provided with means for fixing the floor.

  According to an alternative embodiment, the opening of the storage pocket extends from the base of the screen to a height which is at least equal to the height of the hinge line of the access door. Therefore, during storage, no part of the door is visible, the entire door can be fully housed inside the pocket by simply folding around the hinge line.

  According to an alternative embodiment, the pocket is formed by sewing a panel on the face of the screen. This panel may be optionally made of the same material as the actual cloth or may optionally be made in a grid or an open mesh net. This latter embodiment has the advantage of a high permeability to air, which allows the drying of the door in case of moisture of the fabric thereof.

  However, the open mesh structure allows to see the door folded generally into a ball, which is detrimental to the aesthetic.

  In another embodiment, for a partial opening of the door, the storage means comprise means for holding the door panel folded against one of the faces of the door panel extending between the hinge line and the vertical axis of folding.

  Thus, in this case, the door remains partially open and the storage means allow to have an aesthetic superposition of the two sides of the door against each other.

  More particularly, the holding means consist of at least one set of first male means and second female means, wherein the first male means is adapted to cooperate for their assembly with the second female means; the first (or second) means is fixed on the fabric near the hinge line of the door and the second (or first) means is fixed along the edge of the flap to be folded, substantially at the same height as the first (or second) way.

  The male and female means may consist of a set of hooks and rings, the hook being able to catch in the ring. It may also be self-gripping type assembly means well known under the name Velcro, the male means consisting of a tape supporting hooks and the female means a tape supporting loops.

  For the partial opening of the door, especially when the closing means consist of a zipper, it is sufficient for the user to slide the slider of the zipper to a given point which will materialize the axis vertical folding. However, it is preferable to provide, for the tent, locking means of the door, along said vertical axis of folding DD '.

  The blocking means consist of a set of first male means and second female means, one of the first (or second) means being fixed on the fabric near the desired vertical axis of folding and the other second (or first) means being attached to the door near said first (or second) means.

  Thus, it suffices for the user to slide the slider until it reaches the space extending between the first and second male and female means, for example a hook and a ring, to make it cooperate. its first and second means, for example by sliding the hook in the ring. The vertical axis of folding is thus fixed materially by solidifying the door with the fabric at the level of said axis. The user can then perform the folding of the door along this axis and lock in position the folded door pan using the blocking means described above.

  Preferably, the vertical axis of folding is merged with the vertical center axis of the door, which makes it possible to have a partial opening half of the door and an exact superposition of the half door folded against the half-door remaining in closed position.

  The present invention will be better understood by reading the description of an exemplary embodiment of a tent having a screen adjacent to the access door, which screen is provided with a storage pocket for said door access in fully open position and storage means for said door in partially open position, illustrated by the appended drawing in which: Figures 1 and 2 are partial schematic representations in perspective of a tent, from the outside in which the door is in the closed position, with respect to FIG. 1 and in the fully open position and stored in the storage pocket, with regard to FIG. 2 - FIGS. 3, 4 and 5 are diagrammatic representations in FIG. plan of a tent whose door is in the closed position with respect to FIG. 3, in the half open position with respect to FIG. 4 and in the fully open position with respect to FIG.

  The tent 1 which is described below by way of non-exhaustive example, is a tent whose support structure of the fabric 2 is formed of arches.

  The fabric 2 is secured to each arch 3 by loops, ties or sleeves in which is passed the hoop.

  Such a hoop is constituted, in known manner, by flexible rods, generally made of composite material, nested one inside the other to form a continuous rod, foldable in a circular arc, that is to say in a hoop.

  In Figure 1, the tent 1 comprises a door 4 which extends vertically in the frame of a bow 3 whose two free ends 3a, 3b rest on the ground or on a tent portion adapted for this purpose.

  The arch 3 of the door 4 passes partly in a sheath 5 formed 1 o arc in the upper part of the tent and in passers 6 in the two lower lateral parts of the tent.

  The door 4 is formed in the panel of the fabric 2 which fits in the frame of the hoop 3 by a cutout extending along said hoop 3, a short distance from it and over its entire length except for a lower part of it. This portion of the front panel of the canvas which has no cutout is intended to act as a hinge line 8 of the door 4. It is marked in Figure 1 by an alternation of dots and lines.

  This hinge line 8 may be materialized by a seam line between the panel forming the door 4 and the rest of the fabric 2.

  The closure of the door 4 is achieved by conventional means of closure, including a zipper. In the closed position, the slider 16 of said zipper is close to the free end 3a of the hoop 3, which is opposite the hinge line 8 (Figure 1).

  In Figure 1, there is shown the door 4 with a vent 9 closed by a mosquito net.

  Typically, the tent 1 comprises a screen fabric panel 11 which, in the example shown, has a triangular shape 39. A side 11a of the triangle is connected to the fabric 2 of the tent near or along the hinge line 8, near the lower part of the arch 3, above its free end 3b.

  Fixing means 12 are provided at the top 13 of the screen 11, top 13 which is opposite the side 11a so as to ensure the tension of the screen 11 in a substantially vertical arrangement.

  In the example illustrated, the tent 1 is equipped, symmetrically with respect to the median vertical plane P of the arch 3 and therefore the door 4 of a second screen 14, which is the counterpart of the first screen 11 to ensure lateral protection, allowing 1 o users to stay, the door 4 being open, between the two screens 11,14 sheltered from the wind and partially looks.

  The height of the side 11a of the screen 11 is greater than the height of the hinge line 8 of the door 4.

  On the inner face lib of the screen 11, adjacent to the door 4, is formed a pocket 15 whose function is to serve the storage of the door 4 in fully open position. To do this, the pocket 15 has its opening 15a which is in the immediate vicinity of the hinge line 8 of the door 4.

  This opening 15a extends from the lower end 11d on the side of the screen 11 to the upper end 11c of said side 11a or at least at or above the hinge line 8.

  The pocket 15 may comprise, attached to the inner face ilb of the screen 11, a panel made of a flexible and deformable material, optionally a grid or an open mesh net.

  To achieve storage of the door 4 fully open inside the pocket 15, it is sufficient for the user to move the slider 16 of the zipper from its initial position (Figure 1) near the free end 3a of the arch to its final position, just above the hinge line 8 (Figure 2) and then fold the door 4 along said 3o hinge line 8 and introduce it inside the pocket 15.

  In the embodiment described above, only a very small band 4a of the door 4 which is adjacent to the hinge line 8 remains visible.

  The tent 1 may comprise other storage means for the door 4 than the pocket 15 described above. It is means for storing the door in the partially open position, after folding of said door along a vertical axis of folding.

  In FIGS. 3 and 4, the storage means in question make it possible to put the door 4 in the half-open position, with a folding axis DD 'which corresponds to the median vertical axis of the arch 5 and of the door 4 .

  1 o These storage means consist of a hook 17 and a ring 18. The ring is fixed on the portion of fabric 2 which defines the frame of the door 4 below the arch 3, more precisely to the height of the upper end 8a of the hinge line 8.

  As for the hook 17 it is fixed on one of the faces of the door 4, in this case in the example shown on the inner face of said door 4. More precisely it is fixed in the immediate vicinity of the edge of the door substantially at the same height as ring 18.

  It is preferable, as illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4, to also have means for ensuring the locking in position of the door 4 when it is folded along the fold axis DD '. These complementary means consist, in the illustrated example, also in a hook 19 and a ring 20 which are arranged along said axis DD 'respectively on the inner face of the door 4 and on the inner face of the fabric 2, on the other hand. other of the closure, materialized by the zipper 20.

  When the user wants a partial opening of the door 4, half open position, it is sufficient to slide the slider 16 of the zipper 21, its initial position (Figure 3) near the lower end 3a from the arch 3 to a median position, along the axis of folding DD ', as shown in FIG. 4. To materialize this median position of the cursor 16, the user moves the hook 19 for the penetrate the ring 20 (Figure 4). This can of course be done before moving the cursor 16.

  The user can then fold the left panel 4a of the door 4 along the folding axis DD 'to superimpose it on the right pan 4b and maintain the said two said sections 4a and 4b superimposed by making the hook 17 enter the ring 18 above the hinge line 8.

  The two sections 4a, 4b are thus maintained in the arrangement shown in FIG. 4 by means of these two sets of hooks and rings, respectively 17, 18 and 19, 20.

  In the places and places of the sets of hooks and rings, it would be possible to implement other means of the male and female type able to cooperate for their assembly. These could include bands Velcro hook and loop hook-and-loop systems that would be located as described above.

  Furthermore, it would be possible to obtain an opening of the door in an intermediate position between the two cases of figures described more precisely above, with a folding axis which would not be confused with the hinge line 8 nor with the median vertical axis DD '. Other types of locking means would be, in this case, to implement, possibly said means being disposed on the inner face of the door and to maintain the folded pan and the pan which is not superimposed on it. against each other after folding in the vertical axis of folding.

  The present invention is not limited to the specific embodiment which has just been described by way of non-exhaustive example. In particular, the door may not be constituted by the entire front panel included in the frame of the arch 3, but simply a 3o portion of the front panel, portion comprising the hinge line 8.

  The configuration of the screen 11 as well as that of the pocket 15 is not limited to the example described. In particular, the screen 11 may be constituted in its entirety by two superimposed panels and sewn along the two sides adjacent to the top 13. This embodiment has the advantage of making the pocket invisible when it is not used and makes easier making this pocket.

Claims (11)

  1. Tent comprising structural elements and a fabric covering and stretched on said elements, in which fabric is formed a cutout, with closure means, in particular zipper, defining an access door with a vertical hinge line or substantially vertical, extending close to a structural element, in the vertical or substantially vertical direction thereof, characterized in that it comprises means for storing the door 1 o after folding it according to a vertical or substantially vertical axis of folding.   2. Tent according to claim 1, characterized in that, for a complete opening of the door (4) with the axis of folding which corresponds to the hinge line (8), said tent (1) comprises: a) a piece of canvas, forming a screen (11), which extends substantially vertically towards the outside of the tent (1) from said hinge line (8) and b) a storage pocket (15), which acts as a means storage compartment, said pocket being formed in the inner face (11b) of the screen (11) adjacent to the hinge line (8), so that the door (4) can be folded along the hinge line (8) and accommodated in the storage pocket (15).   3. Tent according to claim 2, characterized in that the screen (11) has a triangular shape whose one side (11a) is connected to the fabric (2) and whose apex (13) opposite said side (11a ) is provided with means (12) for fixing to the ground.   4. Tent according to one of claims 2 or 3, characterized in that the opening (15c) of the storage pocket (15) extends from the base of the screen to a height which is at least equal to the height the hinge line (8) of the access door (4).   5. Tent according to any one of claims 2 to 4, characterized in that the pocket (15) is formed by sewing a panel on the inner face (11b) of the screen (11) including a grid or a open mesh net.   6. Tent according to claim 5, characterized in that the panel attached to the inner face (11b) of the screen has the same configuration as said screen.   7. Tent according to any one of claims 2 to 6, characterized in that the tent has a second screen (14) disposed symmetrically to the first relative to the vertical median plane of the 1 o access door.   8. Tent according to one of claims 1 to 7 characterized in that, for a partial opening of the door (4), the storage means comprise means for holding the door flap folded (4a) against one of faces of the door panel (4b) extending between the hinge line (8) and the vertical folding axis (DD ').   9. Tent according to claim 8 characterized in that the holding means consist in at least one set of first male means (17) and second female means (18), wherein the first male means (17) is adapted to cooperating for their assembly with the second female means (18) and in that the first (17) (or second) (18) means is fixed on the fabric (2) near the hinge line (8) of the door and the second (18) (or first) (17) means is attached along the edge of the flap (4c), substantially at the same height as the first (17) (or second) (18) means.   10. Tent according to one of claims 8 or 9 characterized in that it comprises means for locking the door, along the vertical axis of folding (DD ') and in that said blocking means consist of a set first male means (19) and second female means (20), one of the first (19) (or second) means (20) being fixed on the fabric (2) near the vertical axis of folding ( DD ') and the other second (20) (or first (19) means being attached to the door (4) near said first (19) (or second (20) means.   11. Tent according to one of claims 8 to 10 characterized in that the vertical axis of folding (DD ') coincides with the vertical vertical axis of the door (4).
