Abstract

The inventive probe thermostat comprises an electromechanical temperature control system arranged in a pedestal enclosure (3) closed by a casing (13), wherein said temperature control system consists of a probe (2) provided with a high-expansion metal tube (5) inside of which a low-expansion metal rod (7) is disposed, a safety device (15) for opening safety breakers (29, 30) when the temperature is greater than a minimum thermal threshold thereof and a holding device (18, 20) for converting the low expansion movement of the safety device (15) in to a sudden movement for opening the contacts (31, 32) of the elastic blades (27, 28) of each safety breaker (29, 30). Said holding device temporarily acts on a sliding unit (17) which contacts each safety breaker(29, 30) and is connected to the safety device.
