Abstract

The packaging has a closure with the capsule (1) secured in that the threaded closure (2) is positioned below the package walls so that the package is secured by the capsule and the closure. The exterior seal (3) provides hermetic sealing of the package. The capsule can be prefabricated and attached to the package at its upper glued collar (5) by a tongue.

  Internalized safety capsules The present invention relates to a device for closing the packaging, very particularly for single use of the type of bottles or nestable, recyclable packs. The internalized sealed capsule allows progress in terms of storage and hygiene. It is of interest to the packaging sectors containing a product at atmospheric pressure or under pressure, for carbonated drinks for example, for various products such as food, pharmaceutical, chemical, etc..

  Conventionally, the cap is protruding on the packaging, exposed to stains.

  This external position complicates storage and limits the usable models.

  The realization of the packaging is difficult due to the impossibility of access to the two faces of the top when the cap is attached.

  It is known from the patent PCT / FR00 / 00008 bottle or pack, stackable: the pouring spout with cap on the cover or removable cover; but does not have mechanical security or against contamination.

  The invention allows a device for occluding the packaging to protect it from contamination. It results in a package whose capsule and stopper are internalized and remain clean since they are located under the more external hermetic seal. The latter follows the shape of the end of the packaging and thus can be flat, or in a bowl with raised edge. It constitutes one of the walls of the packaging. The stopper is part of the capsule, closing the container. This capsule delimits a protected stage under the cover of variable height. In addition to the wide variety of possible plugs 25, it can be accommodated there: second component, or any other accessory, removable handle, straw, temperature and UV indicators, oxygen chelators necessary for the content, or promotional games, etc. etc. In the medical world, other specific additions are possible such as air intake, perfusion tubing, etc. A second stage, glued, welded, sealed, is adaptable for specific developments.

  The capsule located near the opening, of congruent shape in "U open upwards" strengthens the architecture of the packaging. It is previously assembled which allows to easily mold, weld, glue any plug or equivalent before fixing it.

  Any assembly is defined by a means such as bonding, welding, screwing or any other equivalent technique or association of this known process. For the sake of simplification in the text, only assembly means will be used.

  The direction of the truncated cone represented by the packaging does not affect stacking and recycling. These encapsulations are compatible with all forms of packaging, in particular polygonal, which give them better mechanical and aesthetic resistance; for example of the pentagonal type. This honeycomb shape makes it possible to minimize the spaces between the elements which will be able to nest and improve the transverse solidity during storage during bottling; just as it gives better stability during use. 45 The absence of relief at the bottom and at the top of the packaging facilitates stacking in layers. Pentagonal packaging makes it necessary to cut the lids unless they are grouped together.

  The vertical or even transversal fitting of the packaging bodies optimizes the recycling storage phase.

  In a pallet of standardized packaging, differently encapsulated according to the invention, can condition different contents without it having an impact on the solidity of the assembly. It goes without saying that this storage is compatible with the use of dividers between the rows of receptacles of the plastic plate or agglomerated type between the rows; according to the known technique.

  The device allows several levels of security with respect to contamination in a known manner by means of: lids, capsules and or caps. In the case of a screwed cap it is itself hermetically sealable which gives the packaging an additional level of tightness 10 and therefore, superior hygiene. The plug can in another case be rubberized and be "trocardable" that is to say pierced by a needle; crimped by a metallic or plastic insert released by twisting. This corresponds to medical hygiene standards. This packaging meets the current needs for rigid, nestable, recyclable plastic storage.

  15. The device according to the invention comprises at least one equivalent of closure means, internalized in the volume delimited by the side walls of the packaging.

  In addition, they include another non-protruding surface protection element such as the cover.   The capsule is prefabricated and secured secondarily to the packaging at the level of its upper collar glued, welded, screwed laterally side removable by a tab, zipper or other welded, glued ..... etc; delimiting the top of the container.

  The internalized capsules make it possible to adapt most of the types of occlusive currently used: screw cap, spout centered or not; allow easy storage of elements of standardized external shape without relief and more resistant; and are compatible with recycling storage by transverse stacking 40 over the height of the packaging or by vertical interlocking.

  The lid and the capsule define a variable cavity. Sometimes the height of the latter can be reduced for better functionality of the container by means of walls which can be released by all known methods: cutting wire, etc. in order to clear the pouring orifice for easier use. This cavity can contain useful additions, controls, antioxidants, etc. The capsule is after consumption released by a second thread.

  Whenever the solder is chosen to fix the lid or capsule, all appropriate means of elimination are combined such as a cutting wire device, plastic tear, or the like; which is activated during the recycling phase. For the sake of simplification in the text, only the means of liberation will be spoken of.

  The lid and the capsule make it possible to keep the container a total opening 5 with a curved edge offering a soft edge shaped in the upper portion of the internal or external packaging, full or hemmed and hollow, more or less flexible.

  The bottle with roll-up collar. The glued seal will allow the collar to be unwound during use. A laterolateral heat seal is equivalent to the conventional procedure.

  The device or devices of the invention are placed: at the top, at the bottom on the body of the package or on the edges.

  The packaging has the shape of a truncated cone with a small upper section, therefore inverted compared to the previous one. The encapsulation, or the operation consisting in fixing a capsule, is carried out by means of an upper flange with parallel edges of the body of the packaging; or from the bottom; or finally by a body-time molding, capsule associated with filling from the bottom.

  The device according to the invention applies to solids. It is placed at each end of the body of the container, making it possible to unpack one and then the other, protected from dirt, which acts as a piston.

  The figures illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 shows a packaging with a capsule (1) and a centered screw cap (2).

  The secure closure device according to the invention comprises a sealed capsule which consists of at least two elements, the capsule (1) and the seal. The lid (3) is the outermost, fixed last, at the end of the filling procedure it closes the packaging. The lid, of plastic PET R or any other material of equivalent property, is always present. It is fixed by fixed using a means of assembly to the packaging secondarily to the capsule. The seal protects the capsule. This is congruent to the packaging, includes a raised peripheral flange border which allows the fixing. It is latero-lateral fixed using an assembly means once it is in contact with the centering lug. Capsule and cover can be fixed in one step welded into a horizontal 40 ring, or vertical if the flanges are suitable.

  The manufacture of the capsule and the fixing of any type of stopper are easy due to the access to the two faces of the capsule. It is made of plastic, PET

  or any other material having the same properties. The volume occupied by the cap system has little effect on storage. The capsule constitutes a reinforcement 45 granting better resistance to the assembly. The seal guarantees lasting hygiene on the outside of the capsule.

  On the packaging, anchoring means, such as, for example, action grooves comparable to that of an O-ring type seal, are sometimes necessary to receive a cover, a second complementary stage, or an advertising envelope 50.

  According to particular embodiments, the types of food packaging intended for non-gaseous liquids are characterized by an occlusion device comprising: a cover, a capsule with a screw cap or even a clipable pouring spout. (Fig. 1,2) A centered capsule (1) and screw cap (2) package (Fig. 1). During use, the cover (3) is removed by pulling on the tongue (4). The plastic capsule extends at its upper edge, on the periphery of a flange (5) and has a central thread pitch of suitable height, intended to receive the plug itself.

  An eccentric capsule (1) and screw cap (2) package (Fig. 2). The upper stage (6) raising the capsule (1) can sometimes usefully be released by a cutting wire (13); to further disengage the collar from the screw thread.

  Small volumes are advantageously equipped with a device for drinking on the feast and or with a cover receiving a straw housed in the space under the cover.

  Soft drinks (beer, ...) are more readily consumed in a drinking container offering a wide opening at the top of the packaging and an edge, a rounded, soft full neck (Fig. 3). The capsule in this variant is preferably reduced to its usually peripheral portion in the form of an external collar congruent with the neck. In its upper portion, it overflows it from inside (11) 20 slightly to avoid any liquid stasis. It attaches to the lower and outer portion of the neck, being released by one (13) means of bare release the soft edge. In its upper portion, the cover is more solid in this case: PET R plastic or other because it is not removed separately. It is welded horizontally or vertically to the top of the capsule after filling and released with it.

  The upper portion of the drinking container and especially the neck may be hollow. A container with a curved edge, soft and hollow (Fig. 4) by means of an everted hem (7) fixed by its lower reinforcement (10) to the wall and upper (9) to the edge of the container. The hem is deployed to the lower reinforcement (10) opposite a locking groove (14). The edge is curved at the top on the first reinforcement (9). The edge shown has a cavity (15).

  The neck is everted. It corresponds to a thinner thickness of plastic material preserving a clean and soft edge for drinking; as much as a wide opening. An annular reinforcement at the top of the container, facilitates the turning of a thimble of the neck of the container; the second reinforcement locks the lower end of the outer skirt 35 of the hemmed collar by positioning in a groove. The capsule is fixed under this groove by a latero-lateral weld through the cover. (Fig. 4). Less comfortable but simpler, the outer skirt of the hem of the collar can be less flexible and hold itself.

  A drinking container sealed at the bottom (Fig. 5). According to another method 40 for assembling a weld of the capsule and filling through the bottom of the container.

  The bottom is encapsulated after filling. The seal on the side of the soft edge is optional unless the capsule has a closed cavity.

  - either the capsule with a sealed lid is released by a wire under the neck of the container as described above and acts as a removable lid (16), - or released and uncapped, turned over and then fitted onto the packaging under the collar of the container making a ergonomic and thermal insulating external reinforcement, or at the bottom of the container acting as a glass base, increasing its stability.

  A variant according to the invention relates to a bottle with a roll-up collar.

  The bottle with roll-up collar (Fig. 6). It is characterized by a thinner plastic collar (24) with potentially two upper and lower reinforcements (25,26).

  The bottle with collar turned up after filling (Fig. 7); a pressure is printed on the stopper and the collar which causes the invagination of the collar inside the packaging of its entire height. The glued seal allows you to unroll the collar during use. A side-to-side heat seal is equivalent to joining the conventional procedure.

  A bottle with upturned collar (Fig. 8), the upper reinforcement of which is located under the screw thread of the cap.

  The particularity of this bottle is to have a thinner ring, preferably made of plastic, with potentially two upper and lower reinforcements located on the side faces of the bottle, the highest located can be located at the bottom of the neck of the pitch plug screw (27). The bottle 15 comes from a known manufacture with a cutting means under the lower reinforcement such as a release means (28). After the cap is put in place, pressure is printed on it. This provokes the invagination of the collar inside the packaging of its entire height. Gluing the lid will complete the procedure, which will allow the collar to be unwound during use. A lateral side-to-side heat seal allows joining the conventional procedure. In both cases the ablation of the upper stage by means of the wire facilitates the storage of waste.

  Another variant is in the form of a truncated cone with a small upper section, therefore inverted compared to the previous one; bringing greater stability to the bottle. The capsule, as indicated above, fits into a flange with parallel edges of the cone top of the body of the package. Alternatively, it is "hemmed". Once in place, the hem covers, from outside to inside, the upper end, the top, the upper and inner side of the packaging. The lateral-lateral welding of the capsule concerns these three thicknesses.

  The capsule in its internalized part is identical to that described above. 30 The cover is again glued or welded. This packaging is stacked for recycling after release from the bottom of the bottle by a release means. In this case, the capsule can be recycled more easily. We use, in order not to get dirty during storage, a recyclable plastic bag of the diameter of the bottles on a support, which facilitates their stacking head first. Once the remaining liquid has been drained, the bag is clipped ready for transport.

  Another variant of a sealed capsule is suitable for a container with a truncated cone with a lower base. The capsule with parallel or conical edges congruent with those of the bottle is introduced through the bottom to its positioning groove at the top and then glued or welded. Such a design allows filling from the bottom; which is finally sealed glued or preferably welded. The bottle progresses through the filling chain held by an ergo located at its bottom. During the storage phase, the bottom cover is released for nesting. This procedure makes it possible to make the best use of the inevitable space that exists when we nest containers and to process a maximum of material as seen above. 45 The bottle thus thought out can be molded body and capsule in one go. Only the two lids are to be added above the cap and at the bottom of the bottle.

  A possibility of variant is characterized by a capsule screwed to the internal face of the top of the packaging which allows easy and repeated access for powdered products, canned food for example ... The screwing can be secured by 50 bonding or opening witness.

  In the case of packaging for solid food, the seal keeps the capsule clean, which prevents contamination during uncapping. Reusable covers that can be clipped or sealed as produced by an O-ring or a hook can be used on the uncapped packaging. It is possible to use the container several times and store it in the cold without having to transfer it; the packaging being of a suitable nature. The risks of contamination are thereby reduced. The choice of an oxygen chelator sachet on the capsule and under the lid or a witness of exposure to excessive temperatures harmful to the product contained is easily achievable. The bottom of the container can be equipped with a second capsule according to the invention and without risk of embrittlement of the assembly, intended to facilitate, for example, demolding (pâté, etc.) the cover is removed, the capsule clean, released, serves as a piston.

  The packaging allows storage at the recycling phase by transverse stacking over the height of the packaging and no longer by vertical nesting. This variant makes it possible to preserve the variety of curve in the packages. This is any bottle. Once emptied the capsule is released as well as the bottom. This last action is continued by a longitudinal opening of the bottle, releasing separately: capsule, bottom and a sheet of curved plastic easily indifferent

nestable.

  As a variant, the internalization device of the sealed capsule, according to the invention can be: at the top, at the bottom, on the lateral parts of the packaging or positioned on its edges in my dish: pouring spout ..., associated as before to a cover. Again a capsule release system will allow the storage of waste.

  The direction of the trunk of the packaging does not affect stacking and recycling. In a pallet of standardized packaging, having different types of capsules, according to the invention can condition different contents without it having an impact on the solidity of the assembly. The absence of a protruding stopper, good transverse solidity, a honeycomb type stack optimizes storage during bottling. It goes without saying that this storage is compatible with the use of dividers between the rows of receptacles of the plastic plate or agglomerated type between the rows; according to the known technique. The vertical, even transverse, nesting optimizes the recycling storage phase.

  The materials preferably used are plastics from the family of 35 PET R copolyesther transparent, ammorphic, impact-resistant, sterilizable, plasticizer-free or any other material having properties similar to the grammage adapted to the capacities. It can be plastics with a bonding primer, aluminized, metals, etc. Whenever the solder is chosen to fix the seal or capsule, all appropriate means of elimination are combined such as a cutting wire device, plastic tear, or the like; which is activated during the recycling phase. For the sake of simplification in the text, only the means of liberation will be spoken of.

  Any assembly is defined by a means such as bonding, welding, screwing or any other equivalent technique or association of this known process. For the sake of simplification in the text, only assembly means will be used.

Claims (9)
