Abstract

Composition (C1) for neutralizing or reducing odors comprises lauryl sulfate (90-110 g), purified water (200-250 ml) and oleic acid (90-110 ml). Independent claims are also included for: (1) composition (C2) for neutralizing or reducing odors, comprising boric acid (45-55 g), citric acid (90-110 g), liquid paraffin (9-11 ml), propylene glycol (72-88 ml) and C1 (40-50 ml); (2) neutralizing or reducing odors of ammonia or the like while retaining the functional effects thereof, comprising combining C2 with ammonia; (3) production of a product containing ammonia or the like by combining C2 with ammonia; (4) product produced as above.

  The invention relates to a formulation especially intended for a composition for neutralizing or attenuating odors, as well as a composition intended for neutralizing or attenuating odors, a method for neutralizing or attenuating odors of ammonia or the like, a method for manufacturing a product including ammonia or the like, and such a product.

  Are already known, in particular from documents FR-2 655 547 and FR-2 541 117, devices making it possible to neutralize unpleasant odors. These devices include means for spraying deodorant solutions or particles, the spraying having to be carried out as the odors to be neutralized are emitted.

  These devices include in particular the disadvantage of being complex and expensive to implement, because they require the use of means of i5 vaporization specific to given industrial installations.

  The Applicant has carried out intensive tests to obtain a formulation specially intended for a composition for neutralizing or attenuating odors, this formulation comprising components which are easy to use, and which do not require any specific or complex installation for its manufacture.

  In particular, the applicant sought to obtain a composition comprising this formulation, and especially intended to neutralize or attenuate the odors of ammonia or the like. This composition has the advantage of acting continuously as soon as it is introduced into the product concerned, without altering the functional effects of ammonia.

  To this end, and according to a first aspect, the invention relates to a formulation specially intended for a composition for neutralizing or attenuating odors, comprising the following components (or the functionally equivalent components) in the ranges of relative ratios indicated below : - laurylsulfate: from 90 to 110 grams; - purified water: from 200 to 250 milliliters; - oleic fatty acid: from 90 to 110 milliliters.

  According to a second aspect, the invention relates to a composition intended to neutralize or attenuate odors, comprising the following components (or the functionally equivalent components) in the ranges of relative ratios indicated below: - boric acid: from 45 to 55 grams; - citric acid: from 90 to 110 grams; 10 - liquid paraffin: from 9 to 11 milliliters; - propylene glycol: from 72 to 88 milliliters; - and from 40 to 50 milliliters of such a formulation.

  In a particular embodiment, this composition is specially intended to neutralize or reduce odors of ammonia or the like.

  According to a third aspect, the invention provides a method for neutralizing or attenuating odors of ammonia or the like, while substantially retaining the functional effects thereof, which consists in associating with ammonia such a composition.

  According to a fourth aspect, the invention provides a method of manufacturing a product including ammonia or the like, such as a cosmetic, hair, styling, coloring, maintenance product, comprising a step in which one associates with ammonia such a composition in accordance with the above process.

  According to a fifth aspect, the invention relates to a product specially characterized in that it is obtained by such a process.

  Other objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent during the course of the

description which follows.

  The formulation according to the invention is specially intended for a composition for neutralizing or attenuating odors. This formulation comprises the following components (or the functionally equivalent components) in the ranges of relative ratios indicated below: - laurylsulfate: from 90 to 110 grams; - purified water: from 200 to 250 milliliters; - oleic fatty acid: from 90 to 110 milliliters.

  This formulation can be produced by mixing the oleic fatty acid with an aqueous solution of lauryl sulfate, in the ratios mentioned above.

  According to a first alternative embodiment, the components included in the formulation, or the components which are functionally equivalent to them, are present in the ranges of relative ratios indicated below: 15 - laurylsulfate: from 95 to 105 grams; - purified water: from 220 to 240 milliliters; - oleic fatty acid: from 95 to 105 milliliters.

  And, according to a second variant embodiment, the components of the formulation, or the components which are functionally equivalent to them, are present substantially in the relative ratios indicated below - lauryl sulphate: 100 grams; - purified water: 230 milliliters; - oleic fatty acid: 100 milliliters.

  This formulation can be part of a composition intended to neutralize or attenuate odors, this composition comprising the following components (or the functionally equivalent components) in the ranges of relative ratios indicated below: - boric acid: from 45 to 55 grams ; - citric acid: from 90 to 110 grams; - liquid paraffin: from 9 to 11 milliliters; - propylene glycol: from 72 to 88 milliliters; - and from 40 to 50 milliliters of the formulation according to one of the three embodiments mentioned above.

  According to a first alternative embodiment, the components of this composition are present in the ranges of following relative ratios: - boric acid: from 47.5 to 52.5 grams; - citric acid: from 95 to 105 grams; - liquid paraffin: from 9.5 to 10.5 milliliters; - propylene glycol: from 76 to 84 milliliters; - and from 42.5 to 47.5 milliliters of one of the following formulations: from 95 to 105 grams of lauryl sulfate, from 220 to 240 milliliters of purified water, and from 95 to 105 milliliters of oleic fatty acid, or well 100 grams of lauryl sulfate, 230 milliliters of purified water and 100 milliliters of oleic fatty acid.

  According to a second alternative embodiment, the components of this composition are present substantially in the relative ratios indicated below: - boric acid: 50 grams; - citric acid: 100 grams; 20 liquid paraffin: 10 milliliters; - propylene glycol: 80 milliliters; - and from 42.5 to 47.5 milliliters of one of the following formulations: from 95 to 105 grams of lauryl sulfate, from 220 to 240 milliliters of purified water, and from 95 to 105 milliliters of oleic fatty acid, or well 100 grams of lauryl sulfate, 25,230 milliliters of purified water and 100 milliliters of oleic fatty acid.

  According to a third alternative embodiment, the composition essentially comprises the following components in or substantially in the relative ratios indicated below: 30 - boric acid: 50 grams; citric acid: 100 grams; - liquid paraffin: 10 milliliters; propylene glycol: 80 milliliters; - and 45 milliliters of the following formulation: 100 grams of laurylsulfate, 230 milliliters of purified water and 100 milliliters of oleic fatty acid.

  According to one embodiment, the composition is specially intended to neutralize or attenuate the odors of ammonia or the like, so as to make it possible to obtain products comprising ammonia, which do not present annoying odors for their user.

  To neutralize or reduce odors of ammonia or the like, while substantially retaining the functional effects of ammonia within the product, it is thus possible to combine the ammonia with a composition according to one of the embodiments mentioned above.

  According to one embodiment, 20 to 24% of ammonia and 76 to 15 to 80% of said composition are combined for this purpose. In a particular example, the proportions of ammonia and of the composition can be between 21 and 23%, respectively, and between 77 and 79%. In particular, 21.39% or substantially of ammonia and 78.61% or approximately of the composition can be combined according to one of the embodiments mentioned above.

  The association of the ammonia and the composition can be carried out by mixing after respective dissolution of the ammonia and of the composition. To this end, the ammonia and the composition are dissolved separately, then the solutions are combined so as to obtain a mixture in which the proportion of ammonia and of the composition respectively corresponds to the required value.

  This association can also be carried out by juxtaposition of the ammonia and the composition, then by simultaneous dissolution, in a given volume of liquid, of all the constituents of the mixture so as to obtain the required proportions of ammonia and of the composition.

  The process for neutralizing or attenuating the odors of ammonia or the like can also consist in combining, by one of the embodiments mentioned above, the ammonia and / or an ammonia support vector and the composition and / or a support vector the composition.

  According to the embodiments of the process described above, the pH of the solution comprising the mixture of ammonia and of the composition is basic, and is of the order of 8.

  Thus, it is possible to manufacture a product including ammonia or the like by a process comprising a step in which a composition is combined with ammonia according to one of the embodiments described above. Such a product is for example a cosmetic, hair, styling, coloring, or maintenance product.

  The product obtained by this process thus has the advantage of being of pleasant odor, the odor of ammonia being neutralized, or at least attenuated, and this while retaining the functional effects of the ammonia present in its composition.

Claims (16)

  1. Formulation specially intended for a composition for neutralizing or attenuating odors, comprising the following components (or the 5 functionally equivalent components) in the ranges of relative ratios indicated below: - laurylsulfate: from 90 to 110 grams; - purified water from 200 to 250 milliliters; - oleic fatty acid: from 90 to 110 milliliters.   2. Formulation according to claim 1, comprising the components in the ranges of relative ratios indicated below: - laurylsulfate: from 95 to 105 grams; - purified water: from 220 to 240 milliliters; - oleic fatty acid: from 95 to 105 milliliters.   3. Formulation according to claim 2, comprising the components in or substantially in the relative ratios indicated below: laurylsulfate: 100 grams; 20 - purified water: 230 milliliters; - oleic fatty acid: 100 milliliters.   4. Composition intended to neutralize or reduce odors, comprising the following components (or functionally equivalent components) in the ranges of relative ratios indicated below: - boric acid: from 45 to 55 grams; - citric acid: from 90 to 110 grams; liquid paraffin: from 9 to 11 milliliters; - propylene glycol: from 72 to 88 milliliters; - and from 40 to 50 milliliters of a formulation according to any one of claims 1 to 3.   5. Composition according to claim 4, comprising the components in the ranges of relative ratios indicated below: - boric acid: from 47.5 to 52.5 grams; - citric acid: from 95 to 105 grams; - liquid paraffin: from 9.5 to 10.5 milliliters; - propylene glycol: from 76 to 84 milliliters; - and from 42.5 to 47.5 milliliters of a formulation according to any one of claims 2 and 3.   6. Composition according to claim 5, comprising the components in or substantially in the relative ratios indicated below: - boric acid: 50 grams; - citric acid: 100 grams; - liquid paraffin: 10 milliliters; 15 - propylene glycol: 80 milliliters; - and from 42.5 to 47.5 milliliters of a formulation according to any one of claims 2 and 3.   7. Composition according to claim 6, essentially comprising the following components in or substantially in the relative ratios indicated below: - boric acid: 50 grams; - citric acid: 100 grams; - liquid paraffin: 10 milliliters; 25 - propylene glycol: 80 milliliters; - and 45 milliliters of a formulation according to claim 3.   8. Composition according to any one of claims 4 to 7 characterized in that it is specially intended to neutralize or reduce odors of ammonia or the like.   9. Process for neutralizing or attenuating odors of ammonia or the like, while substantially retaining the functional effects thereof, which consists in associating with ammonia a composition according to any one of claims 4 to 8.   10. Process according to claim 9, characterized in that 20 to 5 24% of ammonia and from 76 to 80% of the composition according to any one are combined. of claims 4 to 8.   1 1.Process, according to claim 10, characterized in that from 21 to 23% of ammonia and from 77 to 79% of the composition according to any one of claims 4 to 8 are combined.   12. Method according to claim 11, characterized in that 21.39% or substantially of ammonia and 78.61% or substantially of the composition are combined   according to any one of claims 4 to 8.   13. Process according to any one of claims 9 to 12, characterized in that the ammonia and the composition are combined by mixing after respective dissolution of the ammonia and of the composition, or by juxtaposition of the ammonia and the composition then simultaneous dissolution of all the constituents.   14. Process according to any one of claims 9 to 13, characterized in that the ammonia and / or an ammonia support vector and the composition and / or a support vector of the composition are combined.   15. Process according to any one of claims 9 to 14, characterized in that the pH of the mixture of ammonia and of the composition is of the order of 8.   16. A method of manufacturing a product including ammonia or the like, such as a cosmetic, hair, styling, coloring, maintenance product, characterized in that it comprises a step in which it is associated with ammonia a composition according to any one of claims 4 to 2849778 10 8, in accordance with the process according to any one of claims 9 to 15.   17.
