Abstract

The assembly (1) includes a vehicle door (2) having a window (10a,10b) equipped with a device (4) forming a sun screen fixed on a bottom edge of the window and including a screen (12). The screen can be moved from a position out of the way of the window to an active position, in the screen covers the window to prevent light from coming through the window. The screen is fixed to the bottom edge (22a) and is made from a material that is elastically stretchable upwards by at least twice its length so that it can cover the window when stretched using a tab (24) and be held in place by hooks (28).

  The invention relates to an assembly comprising a motor vehicle element carrying a window fitted with a device forming a fixed sun visor on said element near the window and comprising a screen. More precisely, the invention aims to filter from 50 to 70% of the light entering through a side window, a windshield, a rear window

  or a non-opaque tone inside a vehicle.

  There are already known assemblies, such as that described in FR-A-2 774 947, comprising a fixed device near a window of a motor vehicle and having an active position in which the screen covers substantially all of the glass, in order to 'stop, on substantially [' all of said window, part of the light passing through it, and a stored position in which the screen is arranged away from the window, wound on a drive roller. However, given the growing interest in such devices, it should now be offered on medium range vehicles without noticeably increasing the price of the vehicle. The invention therefore aims to propose a less expensive solution than that of the type described in

  FR-A-2 774 947 without reducing the quality of the product.

  Furthermore, EP-A-0 410 687 describes an assembly comprising a device forming a fixed sun visor near a vehicle window and comprising a stretch screen fixed on the one hand near the window and on the other hand at a movable element having two stable positions

  correspond to the active and stored positions of the assembly.

  Such an assembly only covers a small part of the glass, is relatively complex, difficult to develop so that the moving element, able to present all the desired characteristics (shape of the element in active position, progressive displacement - not too violent of [the displaceable element, displacement in the plane of the glass) and consequently expensive. In other words, such a set is reserved for applications

  particular and not to mass market vehicles like the invention.

  To resolve the above problems, the invention proposes to distinguish sets of the type described in FR-A-2 774 947 in that: - the curtain is fixed at one end to said element, and - the curtain is made in a material having an elongation

elastic greater than or equal to 100%.

  By fixing the curtain directly on said element, instead of rolling it up on a drive roller, the number of pieces is reduced and

  assembly operations. In addition, the size of the device is reduced.

  The elastic elongation greater than 100% of the material constitutes the

  curtain facilitates the integration of the sun visor device into said trim element.

  In order to improve the satisfaction provided by the assembly, the invention proposes that in the stored position, the curtain be stretched, under tension. Thus, when the assembly is in the stored position, the screen is not likely to float or

to move.

  In addition, the invention proposes that: - the assembly further comprises gripping means and hooking means linked to the screen, respectively to allow the user to manipulate the screen, in particular when it is in position stored, and to keep the blind in the active position, and - in the stored position, the curtain is subjected to a stretch generating a force greater than or equal to the weight of the gripping means and

attachment means.

  Thus, the handling of the curtain is facilitated. In particular, it suffices to release the curtain when it is in the active position to bring it back into

stored position.

  According to another advantageous characteristic, the invention proposes that the curtain be made up of interlaced wires according to a predefined pattern suitable for allowing relative displacement between the wires and providing openings

  to let at least 30% of the light through.

  The curtain could for example be of the knitted or woven type, so that it presents a deformable mesh which by its particular conformation induces an elongation of each of the threads which is less than the elongation

of the curtain.

  A deformable mesh in jersey allows deformations even if the threads which constitute it are not stretchable. Associated with threads having a strong elastic elongation power in the case of the invention, it will amplify these properties.

  The invention will appear even more clearly in the description.

The figures illustrate an assembly 1 comprising a door 2 of

  vehicle fitted with a sun visor 4.

  The door 2 essentially comprises a supporting structure 6, generally metallic or made of composite material (plastic loaded with fibers), a door panel 8 and a window 10 sliding in a slot 12 formed between the supporting structure 6 and the trim panel 8. Here , the glass comprises two parts separated by a foot 10c. One 10a is fixed and

  the other 10b slides with respect to the structure 6.

  The door 2 further comprises two wiper seals 14 arranged on either side of the window 10, a housing 16 attached to the panel 8 and a cover 18 isolating the sun visor device 4 from the space 20 reserved between the

  support structure 6 and panel 8.

  The panel 8 comprises a place side 8a intended to come inside the passenger compartment of a vehicle and a reverse side 8b on which the sun visor device 4 is fixed, so as not to be visible from the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The sun visor device 4 comprises a curtain forming a screen 22, a gripping o 24, a pull bar 26 and hooks 28 fixed on the door 6 and forming a support for holding the pull bar in the stretched position. More precisely here, the gripping paste 24 is fixed on the draw bar, which is composed of two parts 26a, 26b between which the edge

  upper 22b of screen 22 is retained.

  The screen also has a lower edge 22a, opposite the upper edge 22b, clamps between the housing 16 and the cover 18, in order to maintain it

relative to panel 8.

  In FIG. 2, the screen 22 is in the stored position, almost entirely concealed between the housing 16 and the cover 18, with the exception of the gripping pact 24. It presents between its lower edge 22a and its upper edge 22b a length 1. The screen 22 undergoes sufficient tension on the one hand to avoid it beating between the housing 16 and the cover 18 and on the other hand to return by itself to the stored position when the pull bar 26 is not held by the hooks 28, in other words greater than the weight of

  the draw bar 26 and the gripping paste 24.

  In the stretched position represented in FIG. 1, the draw bar 26

  is held at each of its longitudinal ends on the hooks 28.

  The screen 22 has a length L between its lower edge 22a and its upper lilre edge 22b. The ratio L / l between the lengths in the extended position and in the stored position is advantageously between 5 and 10, in other words the screen is stretched between 400% and 900%. The screen being already under tension in the stored position, it must be able to elastically stretch between 5.5 and 11 times

  relative to its off state.

  The material constituting the screen may in particular be thermoplastic or thermosetting polyurethane (PU), ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) or natural rubber !. These materials have an elastic elongation greater than 100% and even greater

at 300%.

Claims (8)

claims   1. An assembly (1) comprising an element (2) of a motor vehicle carries a window (10) fitted with a device (4) forming a sun visor fixed on said element near the window and comprising a screen (12), said assembly having the following characteristics: - the device has a stored position in which the screen is placed away from the glass, - the device has an active position in which the screen covers substantially all of the glass, in order to stop, on substantially where the whole of said window, part of the light passing through it, characterized in that: - the curtain is fixed at one end (22a) on said element, and - the curtain is made of a material having an elongation elastic greater than or equal to 100%.   2. Assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that in position   stored, the curtain is stretched, under tension.   3. The assembly of claim 2, characterized in that: - it further comprises gripping means (24) and retaining means (26) linked to the screen, respectively to allow the user to manipulate the screen, in particular when in position   stored, and to keep the blind in the active position.   - in the stored position, the curtain is subjected to a stretch generating a force greater than or equal to the weight of the gripping means and means of restraint.   4. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that the curtain is made up of interlaced threads according to a predefined pattern suitable for allowing relative displacement between the threads and   providing openings to allow at least 30% of the light to pass through.   5. The assembly of claim 4, characterized in that the curtain is knitted in jersey.   6. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that the element comprises, in addition to the window (10), a covering (8) having a right side (8a) intended to be placed in the cabin of a   vehicle and a reverse side (8b) on which the device is fixed.   7. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that: - the element is a door (2) having a structure (6) with respect to which the glass can move, - the curtain has a first edge (22a) held on the device and a second edge (22b), free and opposite to the first, on which is fixed a strip (26) substantially rectilinear, - the device further comprises retaining means (28) disposed on said structure to maintain the strip in the active position of the device.   8. Assembly according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that active position, the screen is stretched between 400% and 900% by relative to the stored position.
