Abstract

Folding chair comprises an adjustable back rest (203) with a pair of support elements (2031), a pair of connecting arrangements (2001) connected to the support elements and having a through hole for a support element and a control device adjusting the angle of the back rest, a leg arrangement (201) connected to the connecting arrangement, and a pair of arm rests (204) each connecting a support element to an extension of the leg arrangement. The leg arrangement has a number of leg elements rotatably connected via hinge pins and joined together via connecting elements. The leg arrangement is collapsible and forms a seat support frame when the arrangement is completely opened.

  The present invention relates to a folding chair

  and, more specifically, a folding chair with a back-

adjustable tilting seat.

  Folding chairs have become very popular in recent years. Staff who appreciate

  outdoor activities, such as camping and camping

  Figure 7 shows an example of a classic folding chair. With reference to FIG. 1, a preferred embodiment of the folding chair of the present invention comprises a foot assembly 201, a seat fabric 202, a reclining backrest 203, and a pad of armrests 204. The foot assembly 201 comprises a more rigid foot organs, articulated together with pivot pins, as well

  which are connected together using connecting elements.

  The seat fabric 202 is mounted on the foot assembly 201. When the foot assembly 201 is open, the foot assembly 201 forms a chair frame and the seat fabric 202 is also opened by the foot members to form a seat base. The seat fabric is formed from a piece of strong fabric, made of canvas or another synthetic textile. The reclining backrest 203 comprises a pad of support members 2031. Each support member 2031 is connected ['foot assembly 201 by a hinge assembly 2001.   Fig. 2 represents an exploded view on a larger scale of the articulation assembly 2001 according to an embodiment of the invention. The support member 2031 is housed in a through hole 2002 formed in the joint hinge 2001. A sawtooth member 2032 is formed in one piece on the lower end of the support member 2031. The part of the through hole 2002 conforms so that the support member 2031 can be tilted as shown in FIG. 1. The lower end of the support member 2031 is pivotally supported by a pivot rod which has one end fixed to a side wall of the through hole 2002 and the other end located on another side wall. The lower part of the through hole 2002 has enough space for the support member 2031 to be inclined and for the sawtooth member 2032 to be turned in the

limit of an angular range.

  The articulation set 2001 includes a control device which includes an adjustment block 2003, a handle 2004, an elastic member 2005, and a control button 2008. A through channel 2006, relic to the through hole 2002, is formed in the hinge assembly 2001. The adjustment block 2003, which is arranged in the through channel 2006, can be moved horizontally so as to be engaged with the sawtooth member 2032 in the lower part of the through hole 2002. The 2003 adjustment block is formed in one piece with the 2004 handle passing through the elastic member 2005 and a 2007 lateral opening of the through channel 2006, in order

  to link to the 2008 command button.

  As can be understood in FIG. 2, the elastic member 2005 is blocked between the adjustment block 2003 and the lateral opening 2007. When the control button 2008 is in the neutral position, the elastic force of the elastic member 2005 pushes the

  adjustment block 2003 in the through hole 2002.

  The serrated member 2032 is thus engaged with and blocked by the adjustment block 2003. If the control button is pulled horizontally, the block

  adjustment 2003 can be released vis-à-vis ltor-

  sawtooth gene 2032, so that the back-

  tilting seat 203 and the support member 2031 can be positioned at an angle of inclination. After

  having adjusted an appropriate angle of inclination, the

  order tone 2008 can be released to engage the 2003 adjustment block with the 2032 sawtooth member. The 2032 sawtooth member has a plurality of saw teeth to allow engagement with the 2032 saw block '203 adjustment from different angles. Fig. 3 represents an exploded view, on a larger scale, of the articulation assembly 2001 according to an embodiment of the invention. In this embodiment, the articulation assembly 2001 includes a control device which includes a block adjusted in 2003, a handle 2004, an elastic member 2005, a coupling link 4001, a coupling rod 4002 and a control button 4003. As can be seen from FIG. 3, the control button 4003 is coupled to the handle 2004 using the coupling link 4001 and the coupling rod 4002. To adjust the angle of inclination of the reclining back in this mode of realization, the button

  4003 is pushed instead of pulled.

  o As illustrated in Fig. 3, the coupling link 4001 has two arms 4004. One arm is housed in a coupling hole 4005 formed on the handle 2004, and the other arm is housed in a coupling hole 4006 formed on the coupling rod 4002 which is connected to the control button 4003. A pivot rod passing through the coupling link 4001 between the two arms 4004 fixes the coupling link 4001 on the structure of the articulation assembly 2001. By pushing the control button 4003 towards the articulation assembly 2001, the coupling link 4001 is rotated by pivoting in order to move the handle 2004 and the adjustment block 2003 horizontally to obtain a spacing with respect to the through hole 2002 for a move out

  of grip with sawtooth organs 2032.

  The reclining backrest 203 can thus be adjusted with different angles until the control button 4003 is released and the elastic force of the elastic organ 2005 pushes the adjustment block 2003 to engage with and block the organ

sawtooth 2032.

  The coupling link 4001 and the connecting rod

  coupling 4002 can be arranged and fixed in

  the articulation set 2001 in different ways.

  In the example shown in FIG. 3 they are housed in a cavity 4007 formed in the articulation assembly 201. The coupling link 4001 is fixed to a side wall of the cavity 4007. The coupling rod 4002 is arranged in parallel with the handle 2004. When the control button 4003 is pushed, the coupling link 4001 is rotated because its lower arm 4004 is coupled to the coupling rod 4002 connected to the control button 4003. The rotation of the coupling link 4001 causes its upper arm 4004 moves the handle o 2004 and thus spreads the block horizontally

  adjustment hole 2002 through 2002.

  As can be seen in FIG. 1, ['together

  Each 2011 rear foot organ is connected to the whole

  The rear leg 2011 includes a top foot

  1. Folding chair comprising: - a reclining backrest (203) having a pad of support members (2031); - a pad of articulation assemblies (2001), connected to said support members to said reclining backrest (203), each articulation assembly (2001) having a through hole (2002) for receiving a sup port member, and a device for control for producing engagement and disengagement with an end io lower than said support member to control the angle of inclination to said reclining backrest (203); - a leg assembly (201) connected to said articulation assemblies (2001), and - a pad of armrests (204) each connecting a support member to an extension to said leg assembly (201); characterized by the fact that said foot assembly (201) comprises a plurality of foot members, pivotally connected by pivot rods and connected together by articulation fittings, said foot assembly (201) being capable of 'be folded up and form a seat support frame when said leg assembly (201) is completely open.   2. Folding chair according to claim 1, charac terized in that said articulation assembly (2001) further comprises a through channel connected to the through hole (2002), and that the control device further comprises: - a control button (2008); - an elastic organ (2005) arranged in said through channel; - an adjustment block (2003) having a handle passing through said elastic member (2005) and a lateral opening to said through channel, in order to connect to said control button (2008); wherein said adjustment block (2003) is engaged with a sawtooth member formed on said lower end of said support member element when said control button (2008) is in a normal position, and said adjustment block ( 2003) is put out of grip with said sawtooth member when   said control button (2008) is pulled.   3. Folding chair according to claim 1, charac-   terized by the fact that the articulation assembly (2001) o further comprises a through channel connected to said hole   crossing (2002), and that the control device   also takes: - a command button (2008);   - a torque coupling device to said control button   mand (2008); - an elastic organ (2005) arranged in said through channel; and - an adjustment block (2003) having a handle passing through said elastic member (2005) and an opening   o lateral to said through channel in order to produce delivery   according to said coupling device; - in which said adjustment block (2003) is engaged with a sawtooth member formed on said end lower than said support member, when said control button (2008) is in the normal position, and   said adjustment block (2003) is put out of grip vis-   with respect to said sawtooth member when said button (2008) is being pushed.   4. Folding chair according to claim 3, charac   terrified by the fact that the coupling device also takes:   - a coupling rod connected to said control button   mand (2008); and - a coupling link having a first arm coupled to the coupling rod and a second arm coupled to   said handle to said adjustment block (2003). l   5. Folding chair according to claim 4, charac-   terrified by the fact that said coupling device is   housed in a cavity formed in said assembly of articu-   lation (2001), said coupling link is pivotally mounted on a side wall of said cavity and said coupling rod is arranged parallel to said handle.   6. Folding chair according to claim 4, charac-   terrified by the fact that said first arm is coupled to   lo said coupling rod by means of a through hole   sant (2002) formed on said coupling rod, and said second arm is coupled to said handle by means   a through hole (2002) formed on said handle.   7. Folding chair according to claim 1, charac-   terized by the fact that said foot assembly (201) s comprises a padre of rear foot members each having   an upper foot connected to one of said sets of arti-   culation (2001), and a lower foot, said upper foot   laughing being likely to be housed in said lower foot laughing.   8. Folding chair according to claim 9, charac terized by the fact that said elastic part is substantially hidden in a structure wrapped in said armrest. o 13. Folding chair according to claim 12, charac terized in that it further comprises a padre of straps, each connecting a rear end of an armrest to said reclining backrest (203). |
