Abstract

The container, comprising a tray (1) and cover (2) made from a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, has the side walls (5) of the tray cut out and folded to form a series of evenlyspaced tongues (8) projecting inwards from either side to act as supports and spacers for the articles packed in the container. After the container has been filled the cover is fitted to the tray and glued to it along at least one end wall (4), the glued portion (11) having perforated lines for easy separation.
