Abstract

The box (1) has an aperture (20) in one end (2) and a pouring spout (21) with sides (23) formed by a folded and glued inner cardboard flap (35), designed so that the sides of the spout fold against the inner surface of the box when the spout is retracted. Each spout side has a projecting upper tip (32, 32') inside the box engaging with an inner flap portion that pushes the sides outwards when the spout is returned to its closed position. The inner flap also reinforces the front wall of the spout, and the end wall of the box has a recess just above the spout for deploying it.
