Abstract

The sleeping surface with spring suspension for relaxation bed comprises, from bottom to top, a wooden curtain (2) made up of juxtaposed and articulated slats, a felt covering the wooden curtain, a plurality of strings (9) of springs alternating with a plurality of strips (10) of foam, arranged in a foam frame (8a, 8c, 8d), a foam panel (11) and a complex (12) of fabrics and padding covering the assembly and attached to the underside of the curtain.

Description

The invention relates to a sleeping surface adaptable to a

  frame of relaxation bed with broken plans or ergonomic profile.

  In the relaxation beds, the head part of the frame can be raised and the foot part can be folded up. This is generally achieved by using a frame with broken planes, the movable elements of which are actuated by an appropriate mechanism. This frame supports an articulated slatted base or a curtain capable of being centered or folded, in the longitudinal direction, at least in certain areas. In other constructions, the mechanism activates profile elements

  ergonomic that support a curtain.

  EP 0 632 985 provides a curtain made up of rigid parallel bands hinged together, the section of which is substantially trapezoidal. In the region of the fold of the head part, the widest bases are found on the underside of the curtain and are hinged along their edges. In the region of the foot part, on the contrary, the widest bases are found on the face

curtain top.

  For the comfort of the user, it is necessary to lay a mattress

  on the slatted base or on the curtain.

  This mattress tends to slide on the box spring or the curtain,

  when the head part is raised up.

  The object of the invention is to propose a sleeping surface for a relaxation bed comprising a curtain equipped with

spring suspension.

  The invention achieves its object by the fact that the proposed sleeping surface comprises: - a curtain constituted by wooden strips juxtaposed and articulated between them, and intended to rest on the bed frame, - a felt covering said curtain, - a suspension assembly, disposed on the felt and comprising a foam frame whose dimensions are substantially equal to the curtain dimensions, a plurality of strings of springs arranged transversely inside said foam frame, with the interposition of a strip of foam between two adjacent rosaries, and a foam panel covering said foam frame, and - a complex of fabrics and padding covering said assembly and fixed

on the underside of the curtain.

  Advantageously, the wooden strips are glued to a canvas

  and are hinged together via said canvas.

  To allow significant bending of the sleeping surface, the

  slats preferably have bevelled edges.

  According to another characteristic of the invention, the springs of a chain are trapped between a lower strip of fabric and an upper strip of fabric assembled together between two springs

  consecutive, and the strings of springs are glued to the felt.

  The role of the felt placed on the curtain is to mask the snapping of the springs on the wooden curtain. The felt can be

  replaced by a plate of soundproofing material.

  The bands of foam inserted between the strings of springs prevent the springs from being entangled from one strand to the next, when

we fold the sleeping surface.

  The foam panel placed on the foam frame prevents

  the user to feel the springs.

  The proposed sleeping plan plays both the role of a mattress

  traditional spring and the role of a box spring.

Figure 1, in the finished state.

  The drawings show a sleeping surface 1 according to the invention which comprises on its underside, intended to rest on a frame with cut planes or with an ergonomic profile of a relaxation bed,

  a curtain 2 of wood shown in Figures 2 and 3.

  This curtain is constituted by a plurality of wooden strips 3 glued to the upper face of a canvas 4. The wooden strips 3 are juxtaposed and are articulated relative to each other by means of the canvas 4 To allow longitudinal bending of the curtain 2, the slats 2 have bevelled transverse edges 5. When the curtain 2 is flat, there is therefore a gap 6

  V-shaped between two adjacent strips 2.

  The curtain 2 has a rectangular shape, and the slats 2 extend

across the width of the bed.

  The wooden curtain 2 is covered with a layer of felt 7 or

  a plate of soundproofing material.

  Above the felt 7 (see FIGS. 4 to 8) are arranged four strips of foam (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d) which form a foam frame whose external dimensions are substantially equal to the dimensions of the curtain 2 of wood. Inside the foam frame are arranged transversely strings 9 of springs, with interposition of a strip of foam 10 between two strings 9 of consecutive springs. The foam strips 10 extend between the longitudinal foam strips referenced 8a and 8c. The top of the foam frame is then covered by a foam panel 11, and the whole is capped by a complex of more padded fabrics 12

  staple on the underside of the wooden curtain 2.

  The strings 9 of springs are constituted by springs 13 trapped between a lower strip of fabric 14 and an upper strip of fabric 15 assembled together by sewing or by

  weld between two adjacent springs.

  These strings 9 of springs could also be produced in the form of strings of individually bagged springs and

interconnected.

  The height of the strings 9 of springs is substantially equal to the height of the strips of foam 10 and the strips of foam 8a to 8d

which form the foam frame.

  The lower faces of the lower strip of fabric 14 are

  preferably fixed by gluing on the felt 7.

  The sleeping surface 1 is thus in the form of a spring mattress or a box spring that can be folded in the longitudinal direction.

Claims (5)

  1. Sleeping surface adaptable to a relaxation bed frame with broken planes or ergonomic profile, characterized in that it comprises: a curtain (2) constituted by wooden strips (3) juxtaposed and articulated together, and intended to rest on the bed frame, - a felt (7) covering said curtain (2), - a suspension assembly, disposed on the felt and comprising a foam frame (8a - 8d) whose dimensions are substantially equal the curtain dimensions, a plurality of strings of springs (9) arranged transversely inside said foam frame, with interposition of a strip of foam (10) between two strings   adjacent, and a foam panel (1) covering said frame (8a -   8d) in foam, and - a complex (12) of fabrics and padding capping said assembly and   attached to the underside of the curtain.   2. Sleeping surface according to claim 1, characterized in that the wooden strips (3) are glued to a canvas (4) and are   hinged together by means of said canvas (4).   3. Sleeping surface according to claim 2, characterized by the fact   that the slats (3) have bevelled edges (5).   4. Sleeping surface according to any one of claims 1 to   3, characterized by the fact that the springs (13) of a chain are trapped between a lower strip (14) of fabric and an upper strip (15) of fabric assembled together between two consecutive springs. 5. Sleeping surface according to claim 4, characterized in that   that the strings (9) of springs are glued to the felt (7).
