Abstract

A caravan window (17) is protected by a blind (6) made from a thin glazed non-tearable material. The blind is wound on an upper spring loaded roller (7) and has a reinforced edge (5) which is attached to braids (4) wound on a lower roller (2). The blind is operated from inside the caravan by a drawstring (1) attached to the lower roller. The rollers are protected by shields (16).

Description

The present invention relates to a device for occulting and externally protecting windows, regardless of their dimensions, on vehicles.

In general, the occultations of vehicle windows consist of a housing located inside the vehicle enclosing the concealment portion, these being an integral part of the window. The housing is thus connected with the outside and transmits the cold inside the vehicle. In addition this solution is bulky.

The device which is the subject of the invention is dissociated from the window (17) and subsequently poses itself to the laying thereof. It is installed externally to the vehicle without development, modification or internal intervention.

The concealment is carried out by a ripstop coated fabric of small thickness allowing the installation only outside the vehicle.

Closing and opening of this device is achieved by a manipulation cord passing through a protected orifice (19) through the wall (18) of the vehicle and being fixed inside the vehicle (FIG. 1). The invention makes it possible to adapt to any size of windows fitted to the vehicles.

This device consists on the one hand of elements independent of the dimensions of the window serving as a basis for the device for its operation, for the assembly of the constituent parts and for its attachment to the vehicle and on the other hand of variant elements according to dimensions (height and width) independent of the type of fixation.

The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention.

Figure 1 shows in section the device and the passage of the vehicle wall.

Figure 2 shows the principle of operation of the device. Figure 3 shows the drive of the occulting device. Referring to these drawings the device uses four corners (9) fixed on the vehicle whose design can be used - for fixing the uprights (8) by a mortise tenon - serve as a rotational support of the reels (2 & 7) - to act as a locking mechanism for the spring system - to support the protective covers (16) These corners are positioned at the corners of the window to integrate with it. All parts of varying lengths are determined with respect to the position of these corners.

The device is actuated by traction on the handling cord (1) driving a reel (2) to which are fixed by its ends two winding supports (3) on which are fixed the drawstrings (4) to lower the occulting (6) in the uprights (8) of the device.

The drawstrings are fixed at their other ends to a reinforcement (5) integral with an occultant (6), itself secured to a reel (7) at its other end.

When pulling on the handling cord (1) a spring (10), placed in the reel (7) previously bandaged by the action in rotation of the retractor support <B> (11 </ B>) in the direction contrary to the direction of unwinding of the winder (7), allows the establishment of the occultant. When the manipulation cord is released, the spring returns to its original position by raising the occulting.

The spring is secured to the reel (7) at one of its ends by means of a fastener (12) which receives in a housing, a spring end, straight and hooked at its end (13). The attachment end (12) is rotatably connected by the inner profile of the reel (7). The other end of the spring is held by a spring support (14), split longitudinally at its end in which is housed the last turn of the spring folded into its diameter. This spring support (14) is secured to the winding support <B> (11) </ B> by its male end for driving it in rotation and the band. The assembly undergoes an axial thrust for locking in translation and is locked in rotation by a key (15) which links the winding support <B> (11 </ B>), the spring support (14) and the left corner ( 9) of the device in which the winding support takes its place.

The uprights (8) incorporate the passage of the drawstrings (4) and brushes ensure by shading the occultant on the inner face thereof opacity and weathertightness to the weather.

1 / Device for occulting and externally protect windows of vehicles adapting regardless of the size of the window and landing externally to the vehicle. The manipulation is internal to the vehicle. 2 / Apparatus according to claim 1 characterized by elements independent of the size of the window described below: - Four corners (9) attached to the vehicle to which the amounts are assembled by mortise tenon, which serve as a rotational support to the winder (7) and locking the spring tension system. - A spring support (14) split in its diameter which allows it to rotate the spring (10) whose last turn is folded back into its diameter. - An attachment piece (12) rotatably connected to the reel by the inner profile thereof, and connected to the spring by a straight end and hooked at its end (13). - A retractor support <B> (11) </ B> allows to bend by a rotation action in the opposite direction of unwinding of the winder the spring and allows blocking in rotation and translation of the spring system by a key ( 15) trapping the wedge (9), the spring support (14), and the winding support (1 1). - Two low winding supports (3) connected to the winder (2) on which are fixed the drawstrings. By elements dependent on the size of the window given below: - The top winder (7) in which the spring and the spring support take place. - The low winder (2) for driving the pulling braids (4) and serving as closing transmission of the device via the handling cord <B> (1). </ B> - A reinforcement ( 5) on which the drawing braids are fixed. - The uprights (8) in which the brushes are integrated allowing complete occlusion of the window. - The covers (16) to protect the whole. 3 / Apparatus according to claim 1 and claim 2 to adapt to any size of windows. 4 / Apparatus according to claim 1 and claim 2 characterized in that the spring support (14) receives an axial thrust allowing the spring (10) to be held at one end and the winding support <B> (11 </ B >) is fixed in rotation by a key (15) taking place through the spring support (14), the winding support <B> (11) </ B> and the corner (9).
