Abstract

Seat has base (3) and back (1) in one piece. Second piece (6) pivots about front of base until supported against side pieces of base and is perpendicular to it. Third piece (8), hinged to other end of second piece and stopped at angle slightly less than 90 deg to it, forms seat base. Seat is converted by pivoting third piece by more than 180 deg with respect to second and then pivoting second by more than 180 deg with respect to third. Projecting ends (9) on third piece are then fitted into recesses (10) in seat back.
