Abstract

1 DEVICE FOR STORING DOCUMENTS

  The invention relates to a new device for storing documents, in particular in the form of a folder. This folder is also capable of being transformed into a desk, intended, in a known manner, to receive individual sheets, notebooks, books, musical scores, etc. with a view to their reading.

  The use of file folders is now widespread. This type of article generally comprises a back and a cover hinged together, and is made of a rigid or semi-rigid material of the cardboard type, plastic material, such as in particular polypropylene.   In addition, the constitutive base of the desk described in these two documents is relatively substantial, and therefore requires considerable space for their use according to this configuration. As can be seen in the attached figures, the section of the desk corresponds to an isosceles triangle, partly explaining this size

  The invention therefore aims to overcome these various drawbacks.

  It relates first of all to a document storage device, produced from a sheet of rigid or semi-rigid material, folded according to several parallel fold lines in order to constitute at least the back and the cover of said device to define storage volume. It is characterized in that the free edges of the back and of the cover each extend by a foldable flap, the fold line separating the cover from the flap being provided with a straight through slot, and the flap from the back being provided a clean cut to define a tongue, foldable at the fold line defining the flap, and intended to cooperate with the through opening formed at the fold defining the cover flap, so as to ensure closure

  According to an advantageous characteristic of the invention, the back flap is extended according to two additional planar elements, also from the same sheet, these elements

  also being defined by folds parallel to the folds mentioned above.

  The extremal element is provided with a straight through slit, parallel to the aforementioned fold lines, as well as the cover flap, these two through slits, parallel to each other and to the fold lines, being of length substantially corresponding to the length of the base of the tongue formed within the aforementioned back flap, and being intended to cooperate with the latter. In addition, these two slots are located at the same dimension with respect to the frame of reference constituted by the device. In this way, the cooperation between this tongue, and these two flaps makes it possible to define a relatively wide desk base while conferring, by the implementation of this

  tongue great stability to the console thus obtained.

  The manner in which the invention can be implemented and the advantages which result therefrom will emerge more clearly from the following exemplary embodiments, given for information only and

  limiting in support of the appended figures.

  Figure 1 is a blank blank for a basic shape of a shirt according to the invention.

  Figure 2 is a cutting blank of a more advanced shape according to the invention.

  Figure 3 is a schematic perspective representation of the shirt according to

  the invention, shown in the closed position, that is to say according to the storage configuration.

  FIGS. 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 represent the different stages of assembly of the jacket,

  whose cutting blank is shown in Figure 2 in order to achieve the console configuration.

  FIG. 8 is a blank of cutting of a shape similar to that represented within the

figure 2.

  There is shown in Figure 1 a first embodiment of a shirt holder

  documents. This is made from a single sheet, made of a rigid or semi-rigid material such as for example cardboard or a plastic material such as polypropylene. This sheet (1) is provided with three fold zones, obtained by

  example by creasing, as well as cutting zones.

  More precisely, this sheet (1) has two main faces, respectively (2),

  after called cover, and (3) hereinafter called the back, the cover face (2)

  having a width slightly less than that of the back face (3).

  These sheets (2) and (3) are articulated to each other at a first zone of

  fold (4) parallel to the main dimension of these two faces.

  Advantageously, the back (3) is provided at the two edges adjacent to the fold area (4) with flaps (8) and (9), also articulated at the fold areas on the back (3) so as to known manner, to contain documents intended to be stored in the

  shirt, and in particular to avoid their sliding out of it.

  In addition, each of these two main faces, namely the back and the cover, is extended at their opposite free edges, by a flap, respectively (5) and (10),

  also articulated along a fold line respectively (6) and (11).

  These flaps are intended to be positioned inside the folder when the latter is closed (and therefore in storage folder configuration) and just like the flaps (8)

  and (9), they are intended to contain the documents that the folder is intended to receive.

  According to the invention, the fold zone (6) located between the cover (2) and the flap (5) is provided with a straight through slot (7), extending over at least part of its

  length, and substantially located in the vicinity of its middle.

  As a corollary, the flap (10) undergoes a cutout (13) defining a tongue or tab (12), the base of which is articulated at the level of the fold zone (11). The base of this tongue (12) corresponds more or less to the length of the through slot (7), and it is situated opposite the latter, so as to be able to cooperate with it. Thus, and as can be seen for example in FIG. 3, when the shirt is closed, the tongue (12) is inserted into the slot (7) in order to ensure a closing system

reversible for the shirt.

  We thus understand all the simplicity of making such a shirt which can be produced for example from cardboard from a simple blank blank, at which the folds

  are made by creasing and cutting by simple punching.

  An improved embodiment of the invention will now be described in

  connection with Figures 2, and 4 to 8.

  -am It is also a document folder, but may also adopt a console configuration. The basic basis of the shirt is identical to the shape

previously described.

  However, the flap (5) extending the cover (2) is of larger dimensions, as can be seen in FIG. 2. Furthermore, this flap has a through slot (19), of dimensions substantially equivalent to the slot (7), extending parallel to it, and located at the fold zone (6) and located along the

  same rib. This is very clearly shown in Figure 2.

  The flap (10) of the back (3) is extended by two additional faces, respectively (14) and (15), the face (14) being articulated on the flap (10) by means of a fold (16 ) parallel to the fold (11), and the face (15) being articulated on the face (14) by

  through a fold (17), also parallel to the fold (11).

  As can be seen in Figure 2, the width of the face (10) corresponds substantially to the height of the tongue (12). Furthermore, the face (15), that is to say the end face of the flap (10), is provided with a through slot (18), the length of which corresponds substantially to the base of the tongue (12), and located directly above it, as well as above the other two slots (7) and (19) to which it is also parallel. It is described in connection with Figures 4 to 8, the different steps to move from the

  folder configuration to console configuration.

  In FIG. 4, said shirt is opened according to the two arrows shown in the figure, which is made possible by the fold (4) formed between the back (3) and the cover (2), conferring, in a known manner, flexibility. In Figure 5, we observe that we continue to move the complex flap (14, 15) according to the arrow mentioned in Figure 4, while inserting the tongue (12) into the through slot (19)

formed within the flap (5).

  Once this slot has been introduced, the faces (14) and (15) of the flap (10) are folded down according to the arrow shown in FIG. 5 or in FIG. 6, so as to introduce the tongue (12) having already passed through the flap (5) at the level of the slot (18) of the face (15). There is then obtained, as can be seen in FIG. 7, a stable base, the tongue (12) being folded down parallel to the flap (5). We observe in Figure 8, the embodiment thus obtained, which allows to define a base (10) of relatively large desk, thus capable of receiving

  relatively large and heavy structures.

  6 Furthermore, by the cooperation of the tongue (12) with the flap (5) on the one hand, and the

  flap (15) on the other hand, it leads to a significant stability of the desk, which the devices of the prior art did not allow to obtain.

  In order to favor the introduction of the tongue (12) within the slots (18) and (19), the latter is provided with slightly rounded corners, as this appears very clearly on the

Figure 6, for example.

  Furthermore, according to an advanced version of the invention, it is possible to provide the face (10) with a grooved surface (not shown) to avoid any risk of slipping of the structure, once placed on the desk. Likewise, it can be envisaged to provide the area adjacent to the fold (16) separating the base (10) of the face (14) with a raised projection (not shown), also intended to limit any risk of slip of the work

resting on said base (10).

  However, and as it is conceived, in particular in connection with FIGS. 7 and 8, due to the slight inclination of the base (10) relative to the horizontal, such grooves or projections

are not necessary.

  By construction, the angle between the cover (2) and the base (10) of the desk is typically 90. In addition, the cover face (2) is practically vertical in this console configuration, so that it can easily be attached to a wall or a

  vertical partition, thereby limiting the size, without loss of volume.

  Advantageously, in desk configuration, the flaps (8, 9) also act as ribbed reinforcements, giving good flatness to the back (3), even when

  relatively heavy works are placed on said desk.

  In the embodiment of the invention as shown in FIG. 9, the cover (3) is provided with additional faces, respectively (20, 21, 22, 23), so as to confer a greater possible volume for the shirt, when the latter is in the storage position. In this case, instead of having only a single fold in connection with the faces which are articulated to this cover face (3), two folds are provided, respectively a fold between the thick face (20, 21 , 22, 23) and the cover (3), and a fold between said thickness face (20, 21, 22, 23) and the elements to which the back (2), the lateral tabs (8) and (9) and the flap (10)

  serving as the base of the desk. The rest of the architecture of the shirt remains unchanged.

  Indeed, by the simple implementation of a tongue, a great cohesion is ensured without requiring additional steps aimed at bringing in elastic or other elements. Furthermore, by the selection of dimensions, in particular of the flap (10), it is possible to obtain a large capacity for the works intended to be received at the console, which the devices known hitherto did not allow. Claims (5)

  1. Document storage device, produced from a sheet (1) of a rigid or semi-rigid material, folded according to several parallel fold lines so as to constitute at least the back face (3) and the face of cover (2) of said device for defining the storage volume, characterized in that the free edges of the back (3) and of the cover (2) each extend by a foldable flap (10, 5), the fold line (6) separating the cover (2) from the flap (5) being provided with a straight through slot (7), and the flap (10) coming from the back (3) being provided with a cutout (13) suitable for defining a tongue (12), foldable at the level of the fold line (11) defining said flap, and intended to cooperate with the through opening (7) formed at the level of the fold (6) defining the cover flap (5) , of such   so as to ensure the reversible closure of the storage device.   2. Storage device according to claim 1, characterized: in that the flap (10) from the back (3) is extended by two additional planar elements (14, 15), also from the same sheet, these elements also being defined by folds (16, 17) parallel to the folds (4, 6, 11) of articulation of the back on the cover, and defining the flaps (5) and (10),   * in that the extremal element (15) is provided with a straight through slot (18), parallel to the fold lines (4, 6, 11, 16.17), and the length of which corresponds substantially to the length of the base of the tongue (12); * in that the cover flap (5) is also provided with a straight through slot (19), parallel to the slot (18), and substantially the same length as the latter, these two slots being located along the same dimension with respect to the frame of reference constituted by the device and being intended to cooperate with the tongue (12) formed within the back flap (10), so as to confer a console configuration of said device.   3. Storage device according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that   the tongue (12) has slightly rounded corners, in order to promote its   introduction into the slots (18) and (19).   4. Storage device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that   the face or base (10) is coated with a grooved surface, in order to avoid any risk of sliding of the structure, intended to be received on said device in desk configuration.   5. Storage device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that   the face or base (10) present at the level of the fold (16) separating it from the face (14) of a raised projection, intended to limit any risk of slipping of the structure   resting on said base (10) in console configuration.
