Abstract

The invention concerns a safety screw cap for sealing a bottle, comprising a tamperproof system, characterised in that it mainly consists of two concentric parts, an inner part in the form of a top (1) whereof the skirt (2) comprises an internal threading designed to be engaged on a bottle (12) neck threading, and an outer protective part in the form of a shell (4), the latter being a roofless shell opening upwards and downwards, and the shell (4) and the top (1) are provided with vertically shaped grooves such that if there is an attempt to unscrew the top without removing the shell, the latter rotates without transmitting the torque.

Description

The present invention relates to a screw safety cap for the

corking of bottles.

  According to a known tamper-evident technique, the screw caps are formed of a skirt to which is joined by breakable bridges, a tamper-evident ring, any rotation of the skirt causing the bridges to break. The plaintiff has set itself the objective of creating a new closure device whose function "breaking inviolability" must be separated from the action

unscrewing the cap.

  The destruction of the system attesting to inviolability must be a voluntary act consisting in breaking this system into at least two pieces, and in

  two different shots, then detach it in whole or in part from the cap.

  As a result, any repair of the inviolability system will be impossible.

  In addition, the inviolability system should be designed so that its

  replacement with a standard plug is impossible.

  Advantageously, it will be inexpensive and adaptable to a whole range of

bottles on the same principle.

  The use of two different materials, one of which is non-food is possible. These objectives are achieved thanks to the invention which consists of a screw safety cap for corking the bottle of the type comprising a tamper-evident system, characterized in that it consists mainly of two concentric parts, an inner part made of cap form, the skirt of which has an internal thread intended to mesh with the thread of a neck of a bottle, and an outer protective part in the form of a shell, the latter being a shell without roof opening upwards and downwards, and in that the shell and the cap are provided with vertical grooves of geometry such as if we try to unscrew the

  plug without removing the shell, it rotates without transmitting torque.

  In addition, the shell has at least one annular relief clipping into

an outer groove of the skirt.

  The invention will be better understood from the following description given in

  reference to the following appended figures: - Figure 1: overall view of a stopper according to the invention screwed onto the neck of a bottle and showing the protective shell before rupture, - Figures 2a, 2b, 2c: show the three parts of the protective shell of Figure 1 after rupture, - Figure 3: vertical sectional view of Figure 1, - Figure 4: partial sectional view of Figure 2a showing in section the

  heel remaining in place after rupture of the shell.

  According to the embodiment shown in the figures by way of nonlimiting example, a safety plug according to the invention is composed of two parts

  concentric, an interior part and an exterior part.

  The inner part ensuring the sealing function is in the form of a single-material screw cap (1) with a very low ring whose skirt (2) is

  externally provided with a peripheral annular groove (3).

  This interior part is made of plastic or metal.

  The external part ensuring the safety function is in the form of a protective shell (4) made of plastic without roof. The lower part of the shell (4) is bordered internally by an annular heel (5) of large section clipped into an annular groove (11) of the neck (12) of the bottle. The release is returned

  possible thanks to the fact that the shell opens up and down.

  Inside the shell (4), an annular relief (6) clips into the groove

  (3) of the cap skirt making the two parts integral.

  The shell and the plug are provided with vertical grooves, internal (14) for the shell and external (13) for the plug, the purpose of which is to transmit the screwing torque of the machine. The geometry of the grooves is such that if the we try to unscrew the plug (1) without removing the shell (4), it rotates without transmitting torque,

  guided by the relief (6) and the heel (5).

  If, however, the plug (1) rotates, for example by means of a steel tip device, this would cause the shell (4) to burst due to the

  stripped of the cap and the interior reliefs of the hull.

  Two parallel cutouts (7 and 7 ') provided in the shell (4) delimit a tear-off tab (8) extending first from the upper edge of the shell in a direction parallel to the central axis of the shell, then in a circle on the

  periphery of the shell along a plane perpendicular to said central axis.

  Tearing off the tongue (8) causes the shell to break into three pieces: - the tongue (8), - an upper part (9) forming a disposable rectangular strip, - an annular lower part (10) corresponding substantially to the heel

  (5) of the shell and remaining in place in the groove (1 1) of the neck.

  The precuts (7 and 7 ') can be obtained by thinning the wall by micro-bridge or by micro-hole perforated mechanically in recovery before or

  after fitting the plug (1) in the shell (4).

  According to other alternative embodiments, not shown, one can provide two or more reliefs (6) inside the shell to cooperate with several

  grooves (3) of the skirt. One can also provide one or more reliefs (6) discontinuous.

Claims (5)

  I. Safety screw cap for bottle corking of the type comprising a tamper-evident system, characterized in that it consists mainly of two concentric parts, an inner part in the form of a cap (1), the skirt (2 ) has an internal thread intended to mesh with the thread of a neck (12) of a bottle, and an external protective part in the form of a shell (4), the latter being a shell without roof opening towards the up and down, and in that the shell (4) and the plug (1) are provided with vertical grooves of geometry such that if one tries to unscrew the plug without removing the shell, the latter rotates without transmit torque.   2. Safety cap according to claim 1, characterized in that the shell (4) has at least one annular relief (6) clipping into an external groove (3) of the skirt (2).   3. Safety cap according to one of claims 1 to 2, characterized in   that tearing off a tear-off tab (8) from the shell causes it to break at least two pieces.   4. Safety cap according to claim 3, characterized in that the pulling of the tongue (8) is done first in a direction parallel to the axis   central of the hull then along a plane perpendicular to said central axis.   5. Safety cap according to one of claims I to 4, characterized in   the lower part of the shell is bordered internally by an annular heel (5)   clhpsé in a groove (1l) of the neck (12) of the bottle.
