Abstract

The tray consists of a thermo-formed body (1) with a series of compartments (10) which have rounded inner corners (7) and are moulded with different depths according to the materials they contain. It has a rounded top edge (2) for fitting into the frame of a mobile support, outer walls which are higher than the partitions (4) between compartments to contain a decontaminating liquid, and a pouring lip (3) in one edge. The tray also has one or more sections containing transparent panels (6, 8) wih holes for a needle collector and sample tubes.

Description

-1 - The present invention relates to a tray device to be placed on

  a mobile support for performing a blood sample such as a venipuncture or catheter placement, as part of a caring procedure performed by a health professional, limiting the risk of exposure to blood from a patient. This invention results in a positioning to make accessibility to ergonomic materials, easy, hygienic, and stable. This act: performing a venipuncture or placing a catheter is a risky act with regard to accidents involving exposure to blood. The professional comes into contact, involuntarily, with the blood of the person punctured by injection. This situation occurs in particular when disposing of needles, or of all the material transported near the punctured person, at the end of a venipuncture, when disposing of a needle or mandrel for catheter placement. This situation is aggravated by the anarchic placing of all the equipment on the simple trays, offered by the manufacturers. Soiled material, such as tourniquets, is in contact with the

  unused dressings. There is then a risk of contamination.

  In current practice, the professional therefore uses simple trays or a simple cart to transport all the equipment he needs to perform the procedure: tubes for receiving samples, antiseptics, gloves, compresses, dressings, body material of "clean" pump, collection box of "soiled" needles, pocket for collecting dressings, or "soiled" compresses. The fact of having a tray or a cart, leads to mixing clean elements and "soiled" elements, and facilitates risky gestures, by the instability and accessibility of elements arranged in a random and anarchic manner on the tray. At best, kidney-shaped cells, cups, or small trays are placed on a simple care cart, to separate the items from each other, or used alone in the patient's bed. This use poses two problems: on the one hand, the number of containers is limited,

  a and on the other hand the material is unstable because it is not fixed.

  Once the treatment has been completed, the materials are reinstalled in their original location, possibly mixed with the materials which have come into contact with the patient. However most often the professional performs several interventions with patients without returning to the

  pharmacy, to decontaminate for example the tourniquet which will be reused for each patient.

  Furthermore, the plates offered by the manufacturers being flat elements, they do not make it possible to block unstable elements such as boxes for collecting needles whose orifice is limited, and requires a precise gesture. There are also sterilizable medical trays intended for the storage of surgical and thermoformed instruments, but they are not suitable for this act of care and are small in size to be able to be sterilized in the autoclave, and would be difficult to decontaminate, because of very angular design the forms are not accessible. The horizontal and transparent plates fixing the material such as the collection box for needles and sampling tubes are completely extractable. They are fixed by at least four rounded supports forming a body with the thermoformed wall. The decontamination operation is carried out by flowing a decontaminating solution poured into the receptacles. The decontaminating solution is brought to immerse the entire tray, the

  interior partitions are smaller compared to the exterior walls.

  The tray is placed on a mobile support equipped to receive additional trays from notches on which the removable trays are positioned. So, they are

  usable for installing a stock of waste bags or the like.

  The cart or mobile support has rectangular or circular supports rotating on an axis to block the garbage bags kept open and suitable for collecting soiled dressings and compresses, when the removal operation is completed. It turns from an axis of rotation on a hinge, allowing it to be folded or developed, under the carriage according to use. The arrangement of this specific support for placing the defined front plate has the advantage of being usable for other functions of -3 -

  care and therefore reduce the cost.

  According to the particular embodiment: * The tray can be made of thermoformed material such as polypropylene or other similar material, by using a negative shape of the tray for molding the shapes. * The lockers can be made with a flat or curved bottom and all wall junctions and

rounded bulkheads.

  * The mold can integrate in the form, projecting supports to constitute the support of the transparent plates stabilizing the material in an upright position such as the sampling tubes or the recovery box for needles and forms such as spout,

  to promote the flow of liquid.

  * The tray can have side edges to allow attachment to the cart.

  The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: Figure 1 shows in perspective, the device of the invention (the number of

  lockers given as an example).

  Figures 2 and 3 show in section: complete the device of the invention proposed. With reference to these figures, the object of the invention comprises a monobloc tray assembly (1) consisting of: * an external frame extended by an external edge (2) making it possible to serve as a support on a carriage, * d ' a form of pouring spout (3) for the liquid flow, * of external walls of greater height than the internal partitions (4), * of supports (5) formed in the mass to serve as support for the retaining grids sampling tubes and collection box for needles, * removable grids or transparent plates (6),

  Although the invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to a preferred embodiment thereof, it will be readily understood by the person skilled in the art that modifications in form and in details

  can be carried out without departing from the spirit or the field of the invention.

Claims (3)

  1. Tray for blood samples on mobile support, for hospitals, care establishments and other similar institutions, characterized in that it consists of a thermoformed body (1) comprising a set of non-communicating lockers, with rounded internal edges ( 7) pre-molded to different depths to adapt to the materials they contain, an external rim (2) forming a support for its installation on a mobile support, external walls containing decontaminating liquid, of dimensions greater than the walls of interior partitions (4), and a spout   pourer in an angle for the rejection of decontaminating products.   2. Tray according to claim 1, characterized in that one of the compartments (10) comprises supports (5) forming a projection for placing two superimposed transparent perforated plates (6), composed of circular orifices (11) for fixing the sampling tubes. 3. Tray according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that a second rack has supports forming projections to place a transparent perforated plate to the dimension of the box for collecting needles; the locker does   with no bottom to position the box at an ergonomic height.
