Abstract

The accessory is a plate (12) which has a central curved part (13) that clips on to the handle of the club, below the grip. The plate has two V-shaped wings whose axis is parallel to the chest of the player and these form a directional that is visible to the player. The plate can be fixed to the handle by strips of hooked pile fasteners.

Description

 The present invention relates to a golf club accessory to facilitate learning the movement.

 Learning golf and, in particular, learning the gesture performed with a club is difficult because the player must control different parts of his body as well as the position of the club. However, the quality of the strike of the ball (or trajectory) depends on the position of the club at impact against the ball.

Movement is governed by five mechanical laws, namely
1) the way to the club,
2) club speed,
3) the point of impact between the club and the ball,
4) the angle of attack,
5) the orientation of the club face.

 The position of the club at the time of impact will be influenced by the position of the different parts of the body involved in the movement.

 However, beginners are rarely aware of the position of the club and, consequently, of the orientation of the club face. We know that the ball reacts according to the laws of mechanics, well known to players.

Among the rules that the player must respect, there is the precise orientation of the face of the club. This orientation depends on the rotation of the club on itself. This orientation is very important, both for the short game (putting) and for the long game.

 The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks and proposes to create a means allowing the beginner player or even, if necessary, confirmed, to know the precise orientation of the face of the club and to see his attention drawn to the necessity of this precise orientation.

 To this end, the invention relates to a golf club accessory, characterized in that it comprises a plate forming a transverse mark and provided with an attachment means for fixing to the handle of a golf club, under the handle.

 The accessory according to the invention is fixed by the player on his golf club. He can remove this accessory from a club to fix it on the club he uses for each exercise. It can also equip a certain number of clubs. This accessory forms a mark aligned on the face of the club, giving the player the precise position according to which he must hold the club handle. It can also be aligned in the direction perpendicular to the orientation of the club face.

 The player will not only be able to watch his arms and hands, but at the same time see the mark which will give him an indication on the orientation of the face of the club.

 It is also possible to fix the marker by a part glued to the handle and by a part carried by the plate, in particular an assembly by a claw or micro-claw connection. Adhesive fixing is also possible.

 According to Figure 1, the invention relates to an accessory 1 attached to the handle 2 of a golf club provided with a head 3 and a handle 4. This accessory 1 consists of a plate 12 forming a transverse mark or visible perpendicular to the player holding the club.

 The main part of the accessory, called a plate, is a simple, light piece, of reduced dimensions, the shape of which indicates directly, quickly and clearly an orientation to the player, the orientation of the face of the club.

 The plate 12 is provided with a hooking means 13 to be fixed on the handle 2 of the golf club.

 The attachment means 13 in FIG. 1 is presented in a very general manner. This attachment means can be achieved in different ways.

 According to one embodiment (fig. 2, 3), the reference plate is formed by a part 100 having a curved central part 101 bordered by two wings 102, 103 in the form of V each time two branches 102A, 102C; 103A, 103C, vertices 102B, 103B constituting an elastic articulation, completing the elasticity of the branches to pinch the handle 2 of the club.

 The reference plate 1, 100 can be fixed on the handle 2 according to the orientation of the axis XX represented in FIG. 3, parallel to the bust of the player, that is to say in the direction YY, perpendicular to the bust of the player. The choice of orientation depends on the player.

 The shape of two V or double arrow of the plate 100 clearly and visibly materializes the orientation of the face of the club for the player who sees this plate from above, practically in the axis ZZ of the club.

 Other means, forms of plates and fixing the plate on the handle of the golf club can be envisaged such as, for example, removable connecting means constituted by an adhesive strip stuck on the handle and bearing on its free face of the claws attachment intended to cooperate with the claws of a homologous strip carried by the rear face of the plate.

 In some cases, it is also possible to clip the plate directly onto the handle of the golf club.

 The accessory attaches and detaches easily from the golf club. The player who learns a golf gesture can thus fix his accessory on the club which he intends to use for the exercise. He can detach it and place it on another club for another exercise and so on.

 The accessory can be detached from the club, it does not constitute a bulky element for storage and, above all, once removed it is not likely to detach from a club during storage or transport.

 According to a variant not shown, the accessory is permanently integrated into the club, for example from the manufacture of the club.

 The accessory according to the invention is made as light and solid as possible. It can be a piece of light alloy, steel or plastic. It can be of a very perceptible color in video to facilitate the recording of gestures and their examination using a video screen.
