Abstract

The multi-function block for use on a bicycle includes a light (2) on the front, and a device (3) on the top providing an indication of speed and distance covered in a journey. These elements are integrated into a single common support, mounted on a ring by which the support can be affixed to the handlebars of the bicycle. The casing may be formed from two shells (1a,1b) providing the upper and lower parts of the assembly. Together these define a front aperture for the light (2). The lower shell (1b) holds the electronic circuitry necessary for speed and distance measurement, whilst the upper shell has a number of pushbuttons (5) for control of the various functions. A display panel (3) is formed in an inclined section of the top of the upper shell.
