Abstract

The antitheft and vandalism device has a decision centre (2) which uses information from an infrared or ultrasonic detector (1). When the alarm is triggered the information centre releases a cartridge (3) which contains a thick opaque gas. The gas is not toxic, however the gas prevents the area being viewed by the intruder, and is readily visible to passers by.

THEFT OR VANDALISM
The invention relates to a device for protection against theft or vandalism, preventing the theft or destruction of valuables and any vandalism.

 Homes or premises that contain valuable goods are often the object of lust, and unfortunately, are subject to malicious acts, theft, vandalism, etc. Automobiles are also to fall into this category either as store of valuables, either as a valuables item or even.

 In an attempt to solve this problem, a multitude of alarm systems have appeared, all of which are articulated in the same way. The system comprises one or more detectors making it possible to detect an intrusion, a decision system which takes the appropriate decisions and one or more warning systems such as siren, telephone call or other, supposed to put the intruder in rout.

If these systems are efficient in detecting an intrusion, their effectiveness regarding the intrusion of the intruder is very low or almost zero.

Indeed, any thief worthy of the name, will not take much time to neutralize most of the systems and therefore to interrupt their alerting action, whether for cars or locals, by caulking the siren, by cutting the telephone lines or any other sabotage. In addition, the means of action of these systems have the sole result, in the best of cases, of warning the neighborhood of an abnormal intrusion which can alert the police but cannot act immediately
The invention therefore aims to propose a system which makes it possible to draw attention to the intruder, but also and above all which prevents the latter from stealing or destroying the goods without the latter being able to interrupt the anti-theft or anti-degradation effect. To do this, the invention proposes the new use of known means.

 According to the invention, the method consists of the new use, in part or in whole, of the following methods.

 One or more intrusion detection systems (1) making it possible to give the intrusion information to the decision-making center (2), a decision-making central (2) allowing the choice of the actions to be carried out according to the different information in its presence , and an obscuration system (3) composed of a smoke cartridge which can be controlled by the central decision-making unit (2), the action of which is to release, in a short time, a large quantity of completely opaque and harmless substance intended to attract the 'attention, and especially to prevent the thief from taking away or destroying anything by obscuring the area which prevents any vision, and simulates fire smoke.

The invention therefore consists, not only in attracting the attention of people likely to make the intruder flee (such as siren, telephone call, etc.) but in acting directly and immediately by releasing a completely opaque and harmless gas. which will obscure the surrounding environment, and thereby prevent the intruder from stealing or destroying property. We see that the intruder will not be able to neutralize the lock, the smoke is already in place.

As shown in Figures 1 to 2, there are different possible embodiments.

These different embodiments are not exhaustive.

 The invention relates to a device for protection against theft and vandalism, capable of detecting any intrusion into an area to be protected and of filling it with a harmless obscuring gas, preventing any actions in this area for a predetermined and adjustable time.

 According to the invention, the detector system (s) (1) may consist of one or more detectors, produced in different technologies, such as infrared, ultrasound, radar, magnetic contact or any other. The purpose of this detector system is to detect an intrusion into the area to be protected.

 According to the invention, the purpose of the decision center (2) is to manage the different information provided by these detector systems (1) or any other information provided by a parallel system. The central decision (2) can be deported from the area to be protected, in the case of remote monitoring for example. Depending on the different measures, the decision-making center (2) can decide to trigger a pre-alert signal, followed or not by the activation of the opaque gas. The decision-making center can be made up of an automated system or a person who performs monitoring.

 According to the invention, the smoke-based obscuring system (3) makes it possible to quickly fill, totally or in part, the surrounding medium to be protected with a completely opaque and harmless gas. . The surrounding environment can be different depending on the case.

In the case of the protection of a room we will fill the room with the obscuring gas, while in the case of the protection of a car we can either obscure the interior of the vehicle but also the exterior.

This obscuring system (3) is controlled directly by the central decision (2). The obfuscation system (3) is composed of a smoke that can be ignited electrically or by any other means, which when activated enters into internal combustion and quickly gives off a completely opaque and harmless smoke which dissipates only very slowly by not leaving almost no trace.

According to the invention, the degree of obscuration created by the smoke system (3) is adjustable in intensity and in dissipation time, either by construction of the smoke generator, or by multiple combustion of the smoke generator.

 In the first embodiment, the system is entirely autonomous by being composed in-situ of the modules (1) (2) and (3), this in order to equip for example: a room, a home or a vehicle. This embodiment is preferred by the author for its simplicity of implementation and for its efficiency.

 In the second embodiment, the system is composed in-situ only of modules (1) and (3), the module (2) being deported to another site, this for the purpose of remote monitoring for example.

 In the third embodiment, the system is entirely autonomous and composed of its elements 1 to 3, and is placed in vehicle protection. In this embodiment, the invention does not propose to obscure the passenger compartment of the vehicle (too dangerous in the event of inadvertent triggering) but on the periphery close to the passenger compartment (hood, trunk, rocker panels, etc.) . Indeed, during a break-in, the opaque gas will have the effect of attracting the attention of passers-by very strongly by simulating fire smoke, but also of making driving it very difficult.

The invention thus constituted therefore allows total protection of an area against any theft and vandalism.
