Abstract

The retaining hook has two sections of which one (1) is guided by the other (7) to assure accurate alignment of the picture even if the hook is not absolutely perpendicular. Description

 The present invention relates to a device for hanging pictures on the wall and keeping them perfectly plumb.

 The hanging of the tables is often carried out by hooks provided with one or more holes, making it possible to guide as many nails at an angle making it difficult to tear off under the weight of the load.

 Sometimes the user is satisfied with an open piton which he fixes in the nur thanks to an ankle.

 In all cases a closed piton is screwed into the back of the canvas which allows it to be hung from the hook fixed to the wall.

 This practice peddles many disadvantages such as for example the risk of deformation of the hook under load, or the difficulty of fixing the hook well parallel to the ground, etc.

 Xais the main drawback lies in the fact that in practice it is impossible for the canvas to remain perfectly plumb when it undergoes different vibrations, if only the passage in the room. We also note that the paintings never stay straight in a room or an exhibition room.

 The device according to the invention overcomes this drawback. According to a first characteristic, it comprises the combination of a hook of a new design and a new system replacing the traditional peg attached to the back of the canvas.

 The hook fixed to the wall has, below the fixing holes, a large extension, arched at 90 ', and which is inserted into the slot of a guide screwed onto the board.

 In the extension of the hook and just below the holes, a cutout allows the attachment of the guide itself suitably drilled.

 With reference to these drawings, the hook (1) has in its upper part two legs (2) slightly bent and each pierced with a small diameter hole intended for the passage of the nail or the point.
