Abstract

The device attaches the elastomer bellows to the cylindrical cable bundle termination (10) by pushing the end of the bellows over the cylindrical termination. An internal flange (17) fitted in the end of the bellows engages in a peripheral groove (18) formed on the cylindrical termination. An elastic ring (19) made of metal or hard plastic is moulded inside the bellows adjacent to the internal flange. The elastic ring is split, and two radial tongues are brought out to the side, forming a circlip. The radial tongues allow attachment of a tool to either tighten the ring or loosen it to allow removal of the bellows for maintenance.

1 - Device for connecting a bellows (1) made of elastomeric material onto a cylindrical body (10), in which an end sleeve (9) of the bellows is fitted onto this body (10) and comprises an internal bead (17 ) engaged in a peripheral groove (18) of the body, characterized in that an elastic split ring (19) of metal or of hard plastic material is integrated by molding in the sleeve (9) in line with the bead (17) and comprises at each of its two ends a radial extension (20) which emerges from the sleeve.

2 - Connection according to claim 1, characterized in that the two radial extensions (20) each comprise a recess (21) adapted to receive one of two lugs of a tool for spacing the ring.
