Abstract

The lock consists of a solid falling latch (6) fixed to the operating shaft (5), which in turn is carried by a plate (4), forming the fixed base of the lock. This base plate is secured to the hinged door (2) of the cabinet and has a projecting sheath (4a) which passes into the internal boss (2a), which projects inwards from the door. The sheath surrounds and supports the operating shaft. The end of the sheath is formed into an annular ridge (4b) which engages with a mating projection (8b) formed on one of the ends of the tubular locking accessory (8), which is held in place by an elastic clipping of the two ridges. The specialised operating key (7) passes into the accessory tube to engage in the end of the operating shaft to enable the latch to be raised.
