Abstract

The present invention relates to an improved fastener as well as to the use of such a fastener for fastening coverings to a wall or the like. This fastener comprises a U-shaped body (1) with elastically deformable branches (2) which each include an elastic tongue (3) cut from its branches (2), the two tongues (3) being substantially facing each other, projecting, in a position of rest, towards the inside of the fastener, and including free ends (7) situated on the same side as the bottom (4) of the fastener. This fastener is equally good at fastening ringed or externally smooth coverings.
