Abstract

An anchor screw and associated sliding-sleeve driver tool are provided, each having a longitudinal axial passage dimensioned to receive a guide shaft. The screw is formed of a titanium alloy material with suitable non-magnetic properties to allow later IRM examination of the patient. The thread of the screw is formed with a slightly rounded edge configuration, and an end portion of the screw defines a locating projection. The sliding sleeve of the driver tool is located and dimensioned to protect the ligament portion of the prosthetic tendon against damage during the driving operation.
