Abstract

The boot (1) has an upper (3), opening at the front, whose inner and outer quarters are closed by laces (5). The outer quarter (10) is a mobile relatively supple flap whose lower end (12) is articulated on the lower part of the upper. Its sides (13a,14a) are detached from the upper so that the laces act on this and not on the inner quarter. The flap is formed by two transversal slits (13,14), in front of and behind the arch of the foot. They are covered by elastically deformable waterproof strips (15,16) which are put between the edges (13a,13b,14a,14b) of the slits. USE/ADVANTAGE - Waterproof walking boot with inner quarter holding foot and independent from outer quarter.
