Abstract

The invention relates to a packaging device for transporting bunches of flowers. The packaging device comprises a cardboard box and, inside this box, a device (40) for wedging the bunch. The wedging device consists of at least one piece of cardboard (42) which can be folded in its various portions (46, 64, 66, 90, 92). In order to wedge the bunch at the stems of the flowers, precut foldable tongues (68, 68') are made in the side portions (64, 66). 1. Packaging device for transporting bouquets of flowers, characterized in that it comprises

a cardboard box (10) of generally rectangular parallelepiped shape comprising a cover (16) at its upper part, a bottom (12) and side walls (14); and

a wedging device (40, 40 ') intended to be placed inside said box, said wedging device consisting of at least one piece of cardboard (42, 100, 102) comprising a first portion (46) intended coming to bear against the bottom of said box and of the second (64) and third portions (66) intended to come after folding in support respectively on two opposite side walls of said box, each of said second and third portions having a cutout limiting a tongue (68, 68 ') of folding cardboard in a position substantially parallel to the bottom of said box, each tongue having at its free end at least one pre-cut line (77) to define a flared notch (86, 86') at the end of each tongue, whereby the stems of the bouquet of flowers (44) are enclosed in said notches when the tongues are in the folded position.

Packaging device according to claim 1, characterized in that said second (64) and third (66) portions of the cardboard part (42) are extended by fourth (90) and fifth (92) portions whose length is substantially equal to half that of said first portion (46), said fourth and fifth portions being foldable parallel to the bottom (12) of said box (10) to form an upper wall of said wedging means (40).

3. Packaging device according to claim 2, characterized in that said fourth (90) and fifth (92) portions are each provided with a handle (20, 20 ') foldable perpendicular to the bottom of said box, the cover (16 ) of said body being provided with a slot (18) to allow the passage of said handles.

Packaging device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the cutouts delimiting said tongues (68, 68 ') are extended by precuts and in that said tongues comprise several pre-folding lines (70, 71, 73) to allow the folding of said tabs at a suitable distance from said first portion (46) of the cardboard part (42).

Device according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that said wedging means (40 ') comprise two pieces of cardboard (100, 102), each piece of cardboard defining said first portion (104, 110) , and one of said second or third portions (106, 112) and one of said fourth and fifth portions (108, 114).
