Abstract

The invention relates to a package made of semi-rigid material, having the general shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, in which the packaged objects are disposed head-to-tail perpendicular to two parallel faces (2). According to the invention, this package has, on a third face (1) perpendicular to the two parallel faces (2), a folding line (10) which is equidistant from these two faces and perpendicular to the packaged objects, whilst a fourth face (3), parallel to the third face, and the faces (4, 5) parallel to the object, have cut-outs or fracture starts (12, 13) defining an opening whose shape and dimensions are such that the package is divided into two substantially equal sections capable of pivoting freely with respect to each other with the objects they contain about the said folding line (10), in order to separate the objects previously disposed head-to-tail into two distinct batches.

Description

PACKAGING IN SEMI-RIGID MATERIAL FOR
PACKAGING OF OBJECTS DISPOSED HEAD-BECHE,
the present invention relates to a packaging in a semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard, for the packaging of objects arranged head to head. It relates more particularly to such packaging intended for packaging in head-to-tail positions of articles placed in a blister pack on a support plate, which usually includes a perforation enabling it to be suspended from a rod on a display stand.
The invention also relates to the use of such packaging for packaging head-to-tail positions of various articles.

 This mode of display for sale of the most diverse objects is well known in the art and allows buyers to make their own choice in self-service stores.

 When these objects are delivered to traders, they must however remove them from their packaging and hang them one by one on the tigessupports of displays, which is a tedious operation.

 The present invention aims to propose a method of packaging objects of this type which is suitable for easy opening of the packaging containing the objects and for the presentation in a suitable position of a whole batch of objects, with a view to engaging in one operation a rod of a display in all the openings provided for this purpose in these objects.

 Another object of the invention is to propose a packaging for the packaging of objects arranged head to head which can itself be used for the exhibition for sale of these objects.

 To this end, the subject of the invention is a packaging made of a semi-rigid material, having the general shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, in which the packaged objects are arranged head to tail perpendicular to two parallel faces, this packaging being characterized by what it has on a third face perpendicular to the two parallel faces a fold line equidistant from these two faces and perpendicular to the conditioned objects, while a fourth face, parallel to the third face, as well as the faces parallel to the objects, have cutouts or incipient fractures defining an opening of shape and dimensions such that the packaging is divided into two substantially equal parts able to pivot freely relative to each other with the objects they contain around said fold line, to separate into two separate lots the objects previously arranged head to tail.

 As a variant, the fold line may be replaced by a line of break points.

 Advantageously, in the two faces perpendicular to the conditioned objects and / or in the third face, parts forming shims are cut, adjoining the elements in which they are cut by a fold line perpendicular to the fold line and / or primers. rupture formed in said third face, in order to be able to be straightened towards the inside of the packaging to separate the conditioned objects.

 The invention also relates to the use for packaging in head-to-tail positions of various objects of a packaging of the type defined above.

 Although the description of the invention which will follow is made with reference to articles packed in a blister on a cardboard plate, because it is in this use that the invention has the most striking advantages, the packaging conforms to the he invention can be used for packaging head-to-tail positions of completely different objects, for example bottles, especially small ones.

Various embodiments of the invention will now be described by way of nonlimiting examples, with reference to the appended drawings, in which:
- Figures 1 to 8 illustrate the method of opening and the use of a first embodiment of the packaging according to the invention
- Figure 9 is a plan view of a variant of a blank of corrugated cardboard pre-cut and turned (folded) from which the packaging of Figures 1 to 8
- Figure 10 shows another blank of corrugated cardboard pre-cut and pushed back, for the volume of a second package according to the invention.

 We will first refer to Figures i to 9.

 The packaging shown has the general shape of a rectangular parallelepiped and it includes a bottom i, two longitudinal walls 2 adjoining by a fold line at this bottom, an upper part 3 parallel to the bottom and adjoined by a fold line at the upper part of one of the walls 2, and end walls 4 adjoining the bottom 1 and part 3 by a fold line and lined internally by flaps 5 adjoining by a fold line at the ends of the longitudinal walls 2 and against which the walls 4 are glued or stapled. A tongue 6, attached to the upper part 3 by a fold line parallel to the longitudinal walls 2 is intended to be glued against the external face of the wall 2 not attached to the part 3, after filling of this packaging. corrugated cardboard and the cardboard grooves are preferably arranged as shown at 8 in FIG. 3, that is to say that they are arranged vertically in the walls 2.

 The bottom i is divided longitudinally by a fold line 10 parallel to the walls 2 and equidistant from the latter. This line 10 is extended in the same plane, on the end walls 4 adjoining the bottom 1, by a line of breaking initiators 11.

In this package can be accommodated in head-to-tail positions objects of various nature, here cardboard plates 14 supporting under a blister 15 articles such as recorded cassettes, electric batteries etc. As is usual, the blister 15 does extends only over a part of the length of the plate 14, so that it is possible to arrange head to tail two series of plates in the packaging, perpendicular to the longitudinal walls 2, by laying these plates on their longitudinal edge on the bottom 1 and by placing the blisters in the extension of one another, the width of the packaging being such that the plates 14 can be housed there in this position. In the upper part of the plates 14 are usually drilled cutouts 16 for hanging the plates 14 to a rod of a display in a store.

 As can be seen in FIGS. 1 to 4, to open the packaging containing the conditioned articles, one begins by breaking the breaking primers 12 of the upper part 3 and the breaking primers 13 of the adjoining end parts 14, to clear a part 3a which is eliminated.

 The break points 11 of the end parts 4 adjoining the bottom are then broken (FIG. 5) to rotate the two symmetrical parts of the packaging around the fold line 10 of the bottom (FIG. 6), and to bring in mutual contact the external faces of the two halves of the bottom (figure 7). The two lots of objects thus released can be displayed for sale in this form, as seen in Figures 7 and 8.

 When the bottom fold line includes or is made up of breaking points, the two halves of the packaging can also be separated to form two separate displays (Figure 8).

 As can be seen, both in the position of FIG. 7 and in that of FIG. 8, in the cutouts 16 of the lots of objects thus presented can be threaded simultaneously in a single operation a rod or a rod of a display intended for their exhibition for sale.

 Advantageously, as shown in Figure 9, parts 18 will be cut in the longitudinal walls 2 (and / or in the two halves of the bottom 1), to be straightened towards the inside of the packaging and serve as wedges between the objects conditioned.

 FIG. 10 represents a blank making it possible to produce a variant of the packaging of the preceding figures.

 There is a rectangular bottom 20 there, to which are adjoined at its two ends, by two fold lines, two end walls 21. At one of these walls 21 is also adjoined by a fold line an upper part 22, intended to be arranged parallel to the bottom. A tongue 23, adjoining the end of this part 22 opposite the wall 21 on which it is articulated, is stuck on the other wall 21, after filling of the packaging.

 At the bottom 20 and at the top 22 are also adjoined by fold lines of the longitudinal half-walls, respectively 24 and 25, where the grooves 25 of the corrugated cardboard are arranged vertically, as shown in 26. Flaps 32 adjoining the walls of end 21 by fold lines, are applied against the internal faces of the half-walls 24 and 25 against which they are glued and stapled.

 The bottom 20 is divided into two equal parts by a line 27 of folding and / or breaking leads and two lines of breaking leads 28 parallel to the line 27 are formed on the upper part and are extended by converging lines 29 and 30, respectively on the adjoining end wall 21 and on the tongue 23.

Converging lines 31 of breaking initiators are also provided on the second wall 21 and confidant, in the assembled position of the packaging, with the lines 30 of the tongue 23.

 Placing head-to-tail objects in this packaging variant, opening it and releasing the conditioned objects is carried out in the same way as in the case of the packaging of the previous figures.

 Many other types of packaging falling within the scope of the appended claims can naturally be designed by a person skilled in the art.

 The invention therefore provides a simple and easy to implement means for packaging in head-to-tail positions in a corrugated cardboard packaging of various objects, in particular cardboard plates supporting various articles in a blister.

Claims (4)

 Packaging in a semi-rigid material, having the general shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, in which the conditioned objects (14) are arranged head to tail perpendicular to two parallel faces (2; 24,25), this packaging being characterized in that that it has on a third face (1; 20) perpendicular to the two parallel faces (2; 24.25) a fold line (10; 27) equidistant from these two faces and perpendicular to the conditioned objects, while a fourth face (3; 22), parallel to the third face, as well as the faces (4,5; 21) parallel to the objects, have cuts or incipient fractures (12,13 ;; 28,29,30,31) defining an opening of shape and dimensions such that the packaging is divided into two substantially equal parts able to pivot freely with respect to each other with the objects they contain around said fold line (10; 27 ), to separate the objects (14) previously into two separate batches arranged head to tail.  2. Variant of the packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that the fold line (10; 27) of said third face (1; 20) is replaced by a line of break initiators or itself comprises breaking points.  3. Packaging according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that, in the two faces (2; 24.25) perpendicular to the conditioned objects and / or in the third face (1; 20), are cut parts forming wedges, adjoining the elements in which they are cut by a fold line perpendicular to the fold line and / or breaking leads (10; 27) formed in said third face (1; 20), in order to be able to be straightened towards the inside of the packaging to separate the conditioned objects.  4.
