Abstract

The invention relates to a sanitary ware appliance consisting, on the one hand, of a low seat (22) equipped with a backrest (21) and, on the other hand, of an individual or communal ablutions basin (14). The communal basin assumes, in axial half-section, a V-shaped profile, such that one of the branches of the V (19) constitutes a footrest and the second branch constitutes a rest for the calf (20). The profiles of the seat and of the basin interact ergonomically to allow the user to place a lower limb and at least one upper limb simultaneously in the basin with the minimum of effort. A rising central column acting as a water jet (15) may be twinned with the circular communal basin. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for purification ablutions of Moslems, as well as for hygienic care for disabled individuals.

Description

 The present invention relates to a sink for hygienic care, preferably for the application of rites of a religious nature, in particular the ablutions of purification of Muslims.

 The present invention relates to the technical field of sanitary appliances.

 Ablutions in Islam consist of washing the upper limbs as well as the lower limbs. Existing sanitary ware is not suitable for this function because it is difficult, if not impossible, for Muslim women to wash their feet in a sink.

In addition, these sanitary appliances do not meet the theological criteria for rigor in the ablutions of Muslims.

 The object of the present invention is to provide a hygiene device of a new type which is compatible with the rules of ablution of purification preceding the prayers of Muslims, and which offers the user practical and comfortable conditions while being usable. with security by all, either individually or collectively.

 Another aim is to provide a device which is in harmony with the Muslim architectural tradition.

 The invention relates to a set for ablutions characterized in that it consists on the one hand of a low seat designed to obtain a comfortable seat and allowing the user to effortlessly place any of its members in a ablution basin, on the other hand an ablution basin whose profile cooperates ergonomically with the seat profile to allow the user to easily introduce into said basin both upper and lower limbs and in all cases allow the simultaneous presence in the pelvis of a lower limb and at least one upper limb.

 According to another characteristic, each basin is equipped with a water distributor placed in the immediate vicinity of the basin and to the right of the user, the distribution device and the profile of the basin being produced in such a way that the ablutions can be '' perform under the spray and without splashing.

 According to another characteristic, this water distribution device is produced so as to deliver a minimum stream of water necessary for washing the members under the jet and sufficient for the maintenance of the basin.

There are many forms that can meet the above criteria. The attached diagrams illustrate by way of illustration some of the multiple variants of the invention:

 Figure 4 is a sectional view taken through a vertical plane passing through the axis of symmetry of a circular apparatus for collective use, incidentally provided with a water jet device.

 Whatever the form, a device is composed of three functional parts (a basin, a basin support and a seat) and can be equipped with various accessories (shelves, mirrors, towel racks, soap carriers, ...) .

 According to a first embodiment of a ceramic device for individual use illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2: the basin (1) is a receptor provided with an overflow (2) placed at the front (user side) , and a drain hole (3) placed at the low point. The basin is intended to receive accessories for fittings, drains and siphons. The slope of the bottom of the pool is oriented so that the user seated on the seat can comfortably put the sole of his foot (4). According to this same position of the foot, the shape of the front wall (5) of the pelvis follows the angle given by the profile of the user's calf. The shape of the side walls of the pool must avoid splashing. All interior surfaces are smooth and pour into the basin. According to a preferred variant, the basin has an integrated water distribution circuit starting with two holes (one pre-drilled on the right of the user (6) and the other is only sketched on its left (7)) intended to receive either a tap for cold water and hot water, or a mixer or a mixer, and being able to be manual, femoral or pedal operated, said distribution circuit ending in the basin by a single spout placed on the right of the user at a level higher than that of the overflow of the basin and oriented so as to water the foot of the user. In the case where only one tap is installed, the roughing location of the hole can be used as a soap dish (7). The basin support (8) is a low foot secured to the basin and fixed to the floor by studs. This support also fulfills an aesthetic function by camouflaging the piping. In its rear part, the support is provided with a piping access hatch.

 According to a variant, the seat (9) is independent of the pelvis.

 It is fixed to the floor by studs. Its height is approximately the same as that of the front edge of the pelvis. It is distant from the latter by about 20 to 40 cm, depending on the size of the user. According to a preferred form, the seat is equipped with a backrest (9, 21). The pelvis affects, in axial section, a general V-shaped profile so that one of the branches of the V (4, 19) constitutes a footrest, while the opposite branch (5, 20) constitutes a support for the calf and on the other hand, the seat has a back support (21) preferably inclined at an acute angle relative to the seat (22) so as to constitute a wedging for the user.

The basin (10) has the shape of a flattened half-ring and in vertical transverse semi-cut, it restores the profile of the individual basin of FIG. 2 at the level of each user. The central part (11) receives the fittings and can be used as a soap dish. The basin is unique but has as many overflows (or drain holes) as there are users.

 The basin support is integral with the basin. I1 has a shape that matches that of the basin and has access hatches to the pipes.

 The seats can be individual (12) or in the form of a bench seat (13). The vertical cross section of the bench restores the profile of the individual seat (9) in Figure 2.

The basin (14) has the shape of a half-ring and in axial vertical transverse half-section, it restores the profile of the individual basin of FIG. 2.

 In the center of this ring, an ascending column is provided with a circuit for distributing water jets (15) pouring into the basin. The circuits of the sink and the water jet are independent.

 The basin support (16) is integral with the basin, of circular shape and has access hatches to the pipes.

 The seats circle around the pelvis. They can be individual or in the form of benches. In the latter case, the vertical cross section restores the profile of the individual seat (9) in FIG. 2.

 According to the use and the variant, the device object of this invention can be fixed and installed in an individual bathroom, a patio, a mosque, and in any sanitary room.

 According to a mode of use of the apparatus for ablutions of a Muslim ritual nature, the user (17) is seated on the seat. He is leaning forward during all ablutions. In this position, he can wash his hands under the spray, carry water in the palm of his hand to his mouth and spit it out in the basin and at the end of the ablutions wash his feet under the spray, one after the other by rubbing them with one or two hands.

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above and shown for which we can provide other variants without departing from the scope of the appended claims.

 Thus, for example, we can cite devices suitable for tight spaces (trains, boats, planes, ...) and spaces with complex shapes (corner devices, ...) as well as devices suitable for toilets. disabled people, ...
