Abstract

Modular unit 1 for transporting, storing and displaying elongate objects such as spectacles, consisting of a hollow body 2 closed at both ends by a male-fitting stopper 10, 11, the unit being characterised in that: - on the one hand the hollow body 2 is polygonal in cross section 3 and comprises on each of its lateral faces 5 portions in relief 6 whose contours closely match the contours of the internal cross section 3 of said hollow body 2; - and on the other hand the closure stoppers 10, 11 have at their extremities an external cross section 12, 13 which closely matches the internal contours 3 of the hollow body 2.
