Abstract

The device comprises a plate (1) and a disc (2) freely rotatable in a receptacle (14) formed in the thickness of the plate (1) at the rear of a hole (16) opening into the bottom of the receptacle. A key can be inserted into the cylinder (6) of the lock via the hole (16) and a slot (15) made in the disc (2). The plate (1) and the disc (2) protect the cylinder (6) against attempts to break in by means of axial forces or torques exerted on the cylinder. The invention is used for protecting cylinder-lock mechanisms already installed.
