Abstract

The invention relates to a method for making a tamper-proof payment card with magnetic tracks, which method consists in inserting in this card the photograph of the card bearer. The method is characterised in that said photograph 4 is: - either transferred to a photosensitive film 2 placed between the card backing base 1 and the transparent protective film 3 covering it; - or placed directly between the card backing base 1 and the transparent protective film covering it. The resulting card becomes unusable if any attempt is made to replace the basic photograph.
