Abstract

The present invention relates to a fireplace hearth or stove of the "gas-burning log-fire" type. The hearth is characterised in that the hearth 1 is closed on its front face, in a sealed manner, by a glass panel (window pane) 5 and is provided, over all its other faces, with a thermal-insulation layer 6, and in that the outlet 7 for the combustion gases from the hearth 1 is provided with a catalyser 8 and with a heat exchanger 9.
