La présente invention concerne des cuves collectrices en matière plastique pour échangeurs de chaleur à tubes, et particulièrement pour des radiateurs de moteurs de véhicules automobiles, ces cuves comprenant deux parois latérales longitudinales, deux parois d'extrémité et une paroi de fond
Dans les radiateurs pour moteurs à combustion interne de véhicules automobiles, on constate parfois qu'une pression excessive à l'intérieur du collecteur provoque un écartement des parois latérales longitudinales de la cuve avec pour résultat un défaut d'étanchéité du joint entre le bord-de la cuve et la plaque collectrice à tubes du radiateur.

The present invention relates to plastic collecting tanks for tube heat exchangers, and particularly for motor vehicle engine radiators, these tanks comprising two longitudinal side walls, two end walls and a bottom wall.
In radiators for internal combustion engines of motor vehicles, it is sometimes found that excessive pressure inside the manifold causes a separation of the longitudinal side walls of the tank, resulting in a leak in the seal between the edge- of the tank and the manifold to tubes of the radiator.

La figure 2 représente, en coupe, ladite cuve 1 montée sur le radiateur. Le corps de la cuve 1 comprend deux parois latérales longitudinales 2, deux parois d'extrémité 3 et une paroi de fond 4. A son embouchure, la cuve présente un bord 5 qui s'appuie sur une plaque de tôle 6 avec intercalation d'un revêtement d'étanchéité 7. La plaque dé tôle 6 présente un bord 8 replié autour du bord 5 de la cuve 1 pour permettre la connexion de la cuve 2 à la plaque 6.La plaque 6 présente une série de manchons 9 dans lesquels s'engagent les extrémités élargies des tubes 10 du radiateur, avec interposition d'embouts 11 faisant partie du revêtement d'étanchéité 7. Les éléments formant pont 12 présentent de préférence une configuration légèrement arquée dans le plan perpendiculaire à la direction longitudinale de la cuve (fig. 2) ou bien dans le plan de l-'embouchure de la cuve (fig. 3) afin de permettre dans tous les cas un léger écartement des parois latérales longitudi nales 2. La figure 4 représente une variante dans laquelle les éléments formant pont sont réalisés en une seule pièce avec le corps de matière plastique de la cuve.
