Abstract

The connector includes a male element and a female element carrying plug-in contacts 16. The connector is fitted with fool-proofing (polarising) means. The latter include at least two devices placed at different locations in the connector, each of the devices including two rods 30, 32 each carried by a connector element so as to face each other during plugging-in, these being parallel to the direction of plugging-in and being fitted with elastic means 42 for retention in several defined angular positions, the terminal portions facing the rods having a shape which allows their mutual interlocking and the insertion of the elements, one in the other, only in a defined relative angular position.
