Abstract

In the articulated reclining chair described in the patent application no. 8512486 of 19th August 1985, the connecting rod 16, providing the connection between the backrest 6 and the legrest 8, can be removed, by ensuring this connection by means of the armrests 12; this being possible even in the case where the backrest 6 and the legrest 8 are capable of an angular displacement equal to or greater than 90 DEG . It must then be accepted that the armrests 12 project above the reclining chair in its horizontal bed position.
