Abstract

The invention relates to a device making possible the registering at 30, 10 metres and then confirmation at 2 metres distance, of two persons each carrying miniaturised modules A and B, according to the invention. A module consists of a case 1 having a button 2 for two minute firing. The upper wall of the case 1 has three light-emitting diodes or liquid crystal display 3, 4, 5 and a sound bleep 6. The VHF transmission/reception (27 MHz band) contains two different wavelengths, X and Y, determining two different apparatuses A and B, transmission from one corresponding to reception by the other and vice versa. Receptions remain on stand-by. The transmitters connect by a switch. When the apparatus A transmits on its frequency, a counter starts. The apparatus B receives the signal and sounds a momentary alarm Bleep. When the transmitter B is connected, the signal X received is returned at frequency Y and causes the counter in A to stop, thus determining the distance separating the two apparatuses. The LEDs 4, 5 light up as a function of the distances (10 and 2 metres). In the preferred embodiment, the case 1 includes two threaded dowels 7 intended for fitting various supports 8 for watch straps 9, necklaces, keyholders 10 and badges 11. The whole operates by battery. The device according to the invention is particularly suited to the registering and recognition of two individuals. Its miniaturisation enables it to be incorporated within a commercial watch case.
