Abstract

The security and pump 7 anti-draining device for a motor vehicle comprises an electronic flowmeter 1 between the tank 9 and the pump 7 and connected to a central security unit 2, a two-way feed cut-out 3 controlled by the central security unit 2 and lying between the pump 7 and the carburettor 6, and a pipe 8 designed to by-pass the pump 7 between the flowmeter 1 and the feed cut-out 3. The device acts as an anti-theft device by interrupting the feed function by means of an external control element 4 and prevents draining of the pump 7 in the event of a shortage of fuel.
