Abstract

The invention relates to an antiseptic composition. The composition employs, as an active product, a synergistic mixture consisting of formaldehyde and lactic acid; preferably, the formaldehyde and lactic acid in the form of a mixture are introduced in equal quantities, and they are diluted in a vehicle which itself consists of a ternary solution of water (preferably distilled), 90 DEG strength ethanol and glycerol; the active product (mixture of formaldehyde and lactic acid) is introduced in a proportion of 0.5 to 5 % relative to the total formulation. Use in the production of an antiseptic and cicatrising solution.

Description

The present invention relates to a composition which can be used in therapy as an antiseptic, the product being capable, in addition to its main function of eliminating microbial infections, in causing tissue regeneration and wound healing.

The product according to the invention uses the properties, moreover well known in the pharmacopoeia, of formalin as an antiseptic, properties which have been described in the special patent for medicament in the name of the applicant NO 6070 M.

However, it is also well known that, apart from its antiseptic properties, formaldehyde or formaldehyde, or formaldehyde has irritant properties and above all largely destructive of the amino acids which constitute the basis of cell texture.

The tests carried out by the applicant have surprisingly revealed that formaldehyde, in combination with lactic acid produced a balanced composition capable, in solution in a support mixture allowing dilution of the whole, to lead to a formulation having remarkable properties on the antiseptic level, while avoiding the negative effects of formaldehyde, in particular on the tissue texture and by provoking on the contrary an excitation of the processes of regeneration of the cellular structures allowing the reconstitution of the tissues and the healing of the wound .

The invention relates to this effect in the first place an active product for the preparation of an antiseptic composition characterized in that it comprises a synergistic combination formed of formaldehyde and lactic acid.

Preferably, formaldehyde and lactic acid are present in equal parts.

More preferably, the active product consisting of equal parts of formaldehyde and lactic acid is incorporated into a support solution consisting of a mixture of water, 900 alcohol and glycerin.

Preferably, the active product is incorporated into the support solution in a proportion of at most 5% of the active product in the support composition.

More particularly, the solution constituting the support of the antiseptic formulation comprises, in equal parts, distilled water, alcohol at 900 and glycerin.

For example, in the above mixture constituting the support solution, the active product is incorporated in a proportion of 3%.

The synergetic combination produced in accordance with the invention uses the antiseptic properties of formaldehyde by controlling, that is to say by exploiting it while avoiding its excesses, the coagulating action of the latter on the tissues, action coagulant which allows the elimination of damaged cells without causing the destruction of healthy cells.

Similarly, the synergetic composition according to the invention uses, while controlling it, the irritating property of formaldehyde which, at the degree of concentration used and in the medium with which it is associated, allows an excitation of the vital functions of the cellular tissues making it possible to cause the reconstruction of the cellular structure. corresponding to rapid healing.

The synergetic mixture produced according to the invention makes it possible to achieve a balance of the whole of which the component elements make it possible to adjust the main action of the formal aldehyde.

The complementary product constituted by lactic acid, associated in equal parts with the action of formaldehyde, makes it possible to complete and correct the action of formaldehyde, in particular by adjusting the pH, the composition of the invention thus having a pH close to that of the skin.

The support consisting of the tripartite water-ethanolglycerin mixture has a balanced and revitalizing action on the tissues, in particular opposing local degradations of the mucous membranes and skin tissues.

The applications of the composition according to the invention are multiple.

First of all, the product, according to its essential vocation, will be used as a basic antiseptic for cleaning common wounds.

The composition according to the invention makes it possible to wash and clean the wound and at the same time to protect it; in particular in the case of a contaminated wound (presence of earth or other debris) the antiseptic preparation according to the invention, penetrating in depth, will allow a localized but perfectly effective antiseptic action avoiding infection and the proliferation of microbial strains.

The composition according to the invention is in this sense opposed to current disinfection preparations which, in the presence of a deep wound, could prove to be insufficient, the disinfection operating only on the surface and the wound closing on a background insufficiently sterilized, therefore likely to cause further suppuration.

The antiseptic composition according to the invention is particularly well supported; if it produces a slight sensation of slight burning in the presence of the wound (as does a simple washing with water), this sensation lasts only for the time of a first contact and disappears in less than a minute .

The product is completely harmless and makes it possible to renew the applications as often as necessary and to apply it even very close to the eyes or the mouth because the product being soluble in water and not being toxic can be easily eliminated by washing with large amounts of water without risk of damaging the tissue of the organ.

The product according to the invention can be used in the case of treatment against insect bites or aggressive plants such as nettles, this action allows by friction and slightly supported irrigation to remove both the sting burn and its consequences, this action can be analyzed as of the homeopathic type (since we know that the formaldehyde was discovered from secretions of ants to which it owes its name).

The antiseptic product according to the invention can be used to stop infectious processes in the case of pimples, small abscesses or the start of boils.

 It can be used by instillation in the external auditory canal by stopping at this inflammatory stage an otitis beginning by diffusion through the eardrum of gaseous formaldehyde.

The product according to the invention will also be usable in minor surgery and allows, even in summary conditions, the practice of small interventions, both in human and veterinary surgery.

The invention will also find an election seat in stomatological applications.

The tests and experiments carried out by the applicant have revealed the remarkable behavior of the dental tissues having undergone the controlled action of formalin in the context of the synergetic composition according to the invention.

The applicant's observations revealed that the product according to the invention made it possible to cause an acceleration of the physiological functioning of the dental pulp consisting of a layer-by-layer mineralization of these surface cells; these minelarized cells becoming dentin (or human ivory) according to an accelerated dentinogenesis process thus increasing the resistance of the tooth to decay.

Thus, the treatment of aggressions located at the level of the gums or the dental pulp revealed that the product, without causing tissue damage for the skin or the mucous membranes, allowed significant shortening of the healing times in parallel with an acceleration of the dentinogenesis. .

These observations make it possible to observe the effect of the product characteristic of an acceleration of local metabolisms due to the controlled action, within the framework of the composition according to the invention, of formaldehyde on living tissues.

Thus, it turns out that the synergistic composition according to the invention makes it possible to completely control the biological properties of formalin considered to be both antiseptic, coagulant of albumin and irritant.

Thanks to its insertion in a set which makes it possible to adjust and correct the action of formaldehyde, one thus obtains on the one hand the effectiveness in the antiseptic action, while controlling the actions on the one hand coagulating and irritating for use them at the end of tissue regeneration.

In the context of the synergetic composition according to the invention, the action of formaldehyde on the tissue results in a stimulation of the metabolic processes allowing an acceleration of the construction of the new cells allowing the reconstitution of the tissue and consequently the local healing.

And this action goes hand in hand with an exploitation of the coagulating action which remains sufficiently light and localizes to a superficial area and therefore ensures no longer a destructive and toxic effect but a protective and insulating action, subsequently allowing the regeneration of the tissue thanks the stimulating action of the product.

It will be noted that the synergistic composition according to the invention calls on current products present on the market at low cost prices.

So that the invention makes it possible to produce a product which can be used in large doses thanks to its low cost price, thus allowing a particularly effective action.

And its safety allows a very wide use on all subjects, even the elderly or young children.

The product is stable and its conservation poses no problem.

Clinical observations made from the application of the product according to the invention made it possible to identify the conditions of effectiveness of the latter and these clinical observations are described below.

 1) An elderly subject (78 years old) presents with a pressure ulcer in the sacred zone rounded in the shape of a buttonhole, wider in depth and presenting on the right a fistula joining the buttock a few centimeters further. After the start of treatment, the day after the application of the product according to the invention, the fistula was no longer permeable, the treatments carried out until the end of treatment for several days, resulted in slow but real scarring with disappearance of the infection; the subject notes after application a feeling of local well-being for several hours.

2) The elderly subject (80 years old) has a narrow pertussis bitrochanteric pressure ulcer overlooking a subcutaneous cavern; right erosion on two planes 10 cm long; the wounds have been dragging for a month when the treatment begins with the product according to the invention, from the first days the surface hole closes, even much too quickly because it is necessary to lay a drain to avoid too premature surface closure on a underlying tissue; after a few weeks there is only an entirely superficial oval hole 2 cm in diameter; the deep end has completely grown back.

3) The young subject (25 years old) suffers from second degree right hand soldering; after local application, the next day, the pain stopped, the skin is in the process of regeneration.

4) The subject presents a varicose ulcer on the left leg with erosion of the anterior aspect of the tibia and appearance of other localizations; after regular application of the product, the result is local progressive healing.

5) The elderly subject (80 years old) is diabetic and suffers from edema due to heart failure; he suffers from bedsores; after treatment for one month the wound closes without infection.

 It appears from these observations, especially in the case of geriatrics, that the product remains active despite its use on often multi-deficit terrain (bedridden, poor circulation, dehydration, cachexia, etc.).

The synergistic action of lactic acid and formaldehyde is explained by a certain affinity in terms of physiological functioning.

We know that formaldehyde is the first term in the series of sugars and therefore in particular glucose which constitutes the "fuel" motor of muscular functioning,
However, the degradation of glycogen in the presence of oxygen, during muscular work, results in the production of lactic acid in tired muscle.

Indeed in the case of fatigue no longer allowing the blood circulation to provide the muscular tissues with a sufficient supply of oxygen, in the absence of oxygen the glucose ceases to degrade sufficiently to reconstitute ATP; and the glucose is then transformed into lactic acid, which provides for a certain time a relay energy until the reappearance of the necessary oxygen supply.

So that the synergistic contribution of the formaldehyde and the lactic acid brings to the cellular tissues a balanced action in which the formaldehyde can play its rolls disinfectant, antiseptic, regenerating and healing, thanks to the physiological medium constituted by the presence of lactic acid.
