Abstract

The machine for the more effective utilisation of heat uses a working substance which is a mixture of two pure substances with different boiling points. The machine has two columns (Cd,Cg) operating at different pressures. In the first column a quantity of heat (Qo) is supplied to the base of the column. This heat causes one of the components of the working substance to evaporate and flow to the upper part of the second similar column (Cg) which operates in a reverse manner. Quantities of heat are transferred between the two columns at different heights above the base of each column.
