Abstract

The subject of the present invention is an extensible top which can be converted between a retracted normal configuration and at least one extended configuration achieved by sliding the constituent elements in one direction. It is characterised in that the top is divided into at least three panels 6, 7, 8, which can slide with respect to one another in a direction parallel to the said direction, at least one 6 of them being securely fastened by one end to a crosspiece 3 and at least two others 7, 8 being securely fastened by one end to another crosspiece 4.
