Abstract

Device connecting the two ends of a chain, necklace, bracelet or earring (pierced ears) serving as a clasp. It comprises three parts: a hollow tube 1, having a notch 4 in which is lodged a pin 3 of the second cylindrical part 2, which while penetrating into the part 1 will be rotated in the direction of the arrow. This allows the spring 6 to lock the pin 3 in its housing. The rings 5 are the (optional) attachments to the necklaces, bracelets, earrings. The invention should be used as a clasp for necklaces, bracelets, chains and earrings made of gold, silver, or for a string of pearls or precious stones, or for jewellery.

The present invention relates to all jewelry n8cessitant a clasp.

Currently, the most used clasp is the spring ring which is unsightly, important, heavy and which often requires an additional safety chain, for certain necklaces and bracelets.

This clasp allows, by itself, perfect safety, and a dimension, once made, low, very important for aesthetics. In addition, its small volume, allows the realization of smaller rings, on pendants with stones, for example, and sometimes we can remove the said bXlière and replace it with a fixed ring, on the pendant, which lightens considerably the appearance of the whole; on some pendants and medals, the b8li8res are abnormally high for the passage of a current spring ring. On the other hand, it is easy to handle, easier than for currently known models. This clasp, rXalisX in gold, weighs for the smallest model: 0.20 gram and measures 7mm long and 12mm in diameter which allows a perfect aesthetic.

Currently, those in circulation weigh, for the smallest model, from 0.40 to 0.50 grams; at the current price of gold, this is very important. There is a similar lock in the Edison socket but it is double and for electrical contact.

The object of the invention comprises: a cylindrical clamp pos seing a lug, which will lock in the notch of the hollow tube, and which will be maintained by the spring under pressure. Several copies of the invention, as a prototype are offered and have given complete satisfaction both in use and appearance. The accompanying drawings illustrate by way of example an embodiment of the device according to the present invention, in which FIG. 1 represents the hollow part, FIG. 2 the malt part, and FIG. 3 a perspective view.

When handling the cylindrical part (2) in the hollow tube (1), the lug (3) is locked in the notch (4) a spring (6) allows a pressure intended to retain the lug (3) in the bottom of the notch (4).

The clasp, object of the invention, can be used for all gold jewelry, requiring a pretty and practical closure, at a low cost; it can also be applied to silver plated jewelry and costume jewelry.

 Claim 4 Collar clasp characterized by two pieces intended for  be joined together to close a necklace  or a bracelet. 2One of the parts is provided with a hooking pin, then the other is a tube comprising a notch so as to receive this pin. A spring placed inside the tube allows the lug piece to be retained in the safety position. A fixing ring on each piece (male and female) is provided to receive the jewel (necklace or bracelet). The spring is fixed inside by force tightening at the bottom  of the tube on the last turn.  s The sick part is full but can be hollow depending on its size.  The notch of the female part can be axial like the  tre the Figure but also elicoïdal so that the lug is placed alone in the safety notch when it is pushed against the spring.
