Abstract

The urine detector relies on the transmission of a radio frequency signal on programmed digital channels. The transmission is produced by the contact derived from two pickup plates. Once contact is established when urine is detected, a precoded radio signal is transmitted. This is detected by a receiver, which in turn operates a microswitch. The switch controls further microswitches which operate a sound warning alarm and a red LED warning (C). The circuit is supplied with direct current at low voltage by a transformer and diode bridge circuit. The device may assist an incontinent patient, and alert medical staff.

Description

This invention relates to urine detectors, the role of which is to keep the patient's attention, or to warn those around them, at the very start of urine emission.
