Abstract

Shaped garment, e.g. a glove or slipper, is made of at least two plies of permeable, formable material sepd. by a layer of impermeable material so that the external layer can be impregnated with a fluid coating material without contaminating the internal layer. Description

 The present invention relates to the field of manufacturing a piece of clothing, in particular a glove, a boot, a shoe, or the like, from a preform shaped on a mold and provided with a outer layer for fixing the shape, and relates to a method of manufacturing such a piece of clothing.

 The invention also relates to the piece of clothing thus obtained.

 I1 is known, at present, to produce pieces of clothing such as gloves from flat preforms, in a single thickness, porous, elastically deformable when hot, by the action of solvent, or because of their constitution under form of knitting, which are placed on a shaping machine whose shapes they perfectly match, and which are subjected to an impregnation treatment with a material intended to form the external coating, and / or a heat treatment, intended for make a final fixation of the form.

 The impregnation can be carried out by soaking in a bath of material of the outer layer in liquid form, or by spraying this material on the preform placed on the former.

 However, due to their porous constitution, it frequently happens that the attached form-fixing layer penetrates too deeply into the material of the preform, so that the inner part of the latter is also impregnated creating discomfort for the user. . I1 can also happen that this added layer does not penetrate deep enough into the preform, and thus risks to come off during use, so that the required qualities are no longer guaranteed.

 The present invention aims to overcome these drawbacks.

 It has, in fact, for its object a process for manufacturing a piece of clothing, in particular a glove, a boot, a shoe, or the like, characterized in that it consists in making a flat multilayer preform deformable cold, hot, or under the action of solvents, at least one of the intermediate layers of which is impermeable and allows the impregnation of one or more outer layers without affecting the layer or layers interior, placing the preform on a former, and fixing the form by impregnating the exterior layer (s) with a layer of porous or non-porous impregnation material, the impermeable intermediate layer or layers that can be removed from the workpiece clothing obtained after conformation.

 The invention also relates to a piece of clothing, in particular a glove, a boot, a shoe, or the like, characterized in that it is constituted by at least one outer layer impregnated with a porous material or not fixing of its shape, by one or more impermeable intermediate layers) and by one or more interior layers.

 The invention will be better understood from the following description, which relates to a preferred embodiment, given by way of nonlimiting example, and explained with reference to the appended schematic drawing, of which the single Ligurian is a sectional view of a glove according to the invention.

 The piece of clothing in the form of a glove shown in the accompanying drawing consists of an outer layer l impregnated with a porous material or not used for fixing its shape and having properties of mechanical, chemical, or electrical resistance, by a impermeable intermediate layer 2, and by an inner layer 3 in the form of a knitted fabric, a nonwoven, or the like, intended to promote comfortable wearing.

 For the production of such a glove, one starts from a flat preform constituted by an assembly of the various layers, which are deformable hot, cold, or by the action of solvents, this preform being placed on a shaper 4 , and its permeable outer layer being impregnated with a layer of porous material or not intended to fix the shape of the part to be obtained, the impermeable intermediate layer 2 can be removed after impregnation, for example in order to make the obtained part permeable in air, steam, or liquids.

 The intermediate layer 2 which is advantageously in the form of a film of plasticized polyvinyl chloride, of polyethylene, or the like, is elastically deformable when hot, and can participate in maintaining the shape of the part after conformation of the preform and impregnation of the outer layer 1.

 According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the part can be formed solely by an external impregnation layer, and by an internal layer contributing to comfort, the face of this internal layer facing the external layer being waterproofed.

 It is also possible to provide several outer layers impregnated with materials having complementary qualities of mechanical, chemical, electrical, and thermal resistance, as well as several inner layers for absorbing perspiration, and insulating from the cold.

 According to another characteristic of the invention, one of the intermediate layers can be made of a non-waterproof material containing coagulant products of an impregnation elastomer such as natural and synthetic rubber latexes, so that, during said impregnation , the sealing at the contact surface between the intermediate and outer layers takes place automatically.

 Thanks to the invention, it is possible to produce pieces of clothing with an impregnated outer layer, such as gloves, boots, shoes, or the like, from flat preforms, while ensuring that an unimpregnated inner layer contributing to comfort when wearing said piece. In addition, thanks to the manufacturing method according to the invention, it is possible to combine various characteristics for the same part by providing several variously impregnated outer layers.

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown in the accompanying drawing.

Modifications remain possible, in particular from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements, or by substitution of technical equivalents, without thereby departing from the scope of protection of the invention.

Method for manufacturing a piece of clothing, in particular a glove, a boot, a shoe, or the like, characterized in that it consists in producing a flat preform multilayer cold deformable , hot, or under the action of solvents, at least one of the intermediate layers (2) of which is impermeable and allows the impregnation of one or more outer layers (1) without affecting the inner layer (s) ( 3), placing the preform on a former (4), and fixing the shape by impregnating the outer layer (s) (1) with a layer of impregnation material - porous or not, the impermeable intermediate layer or layers ( 2) can be removed from the piece of clothing obtained after shaping.  2.
