Abstract

The target has a sight mark and a flat support of materials allowing bullet penetration. The support consists of a fairly thin, rigid, plate and a synthetic material. The latter is expanded or cellular type material between two sheets of paper or cardboard, stuck on the faces. One sheet has the sight mark and the sheets are easily penetrated by bullets so that the hole made by each corresponds to its diameter. This helps umpiring and the passage of check gauges. The sight mark is printed on a paper sheet.

Description

 The invention relates to targets for firing firearms, compressed gas, or other weapons launching projectiles passing through said targets.

 We commonly call target the whole of the object used for shooting, and as there are many models of targets, to avoid any ambiguity we will call hereinafter "test chart" the paper or the cardboard bearing the indications and / or the drawings capable of measuring the marksman's address, such as suitably spaced and concentric lines around the central visual point, also sometimes called the target, and the plate on which the target is fixed in the appropriate position will be called "support". The plate is made of a rigid material allowing good passage through the balls, for example an expanded plastic material.

 In known targets, the control of the disputed points obliges the referees to frequently use calibers (rods) due to the insufficient clarity of the contours of the impacts.

These checks are boring and can be the source of challenges.

 The object of the invention is to remedy this drawback and others. Its subject is a target, the support of which is constituted by a relatively thick plate made of a rigid material allowing good passage through the balls, characterized in that the center of the plate is hollowed out and covered by a small or partial cover. The outer contour of the plate is preferably cut according to the shape of a test pattern.

The interior recess is cut in one of the circles in the center of the target, or in another shape. An entire target is fixed on the front face of the plate, this target may or may not have a recess in its center. This target is generally glued to the plate. On this fixed target is removably arranged an additional target, covering the center and reproducing at this location the drawings of the fixed target. This additional target covers not only the recess, but also the surrounding region and can even extend beyond the lateral edges of the plate.

This additional target is secured by any means, in particular by adhesive allowing rapid removal, by clips or clips, and is preferably fixed by its upper and lower edges, so as to allow the lateral overflow of the plate. Thus the plate forms a flat frame around the central recess and it is easy to remove the additional target sheet after each shot and to give it to the shooter. A new additional target is put in place of the previous one which, during the shooting is hallmarked in a conventional manner, without ripping or splintering, under the effect of the projectile. The clear punching of the target facilitates arbitration.

 The advantages obtained thanks to the invention are numerous and appear clearly. Not only is the cost of the target low and its lifespan longer than the known targets, but it has quite negligible resistance to the passage of projectiles. The target being light and self-supporting, these qualities favor the simplification and the development of new automatic targeting systems that are more economical and more viable. As already stated, the refereeing is easy and the shooter can take the additional target.

 The support consists of a plate i of a material known under the brand "Klégecell" or the like. The thickness of the plate i generally varies according to the desired mechanical characteristics of the target, and is between five and fifty millimeters.

 The plate i has at its center a recess 2 corresponding to the areas where the arbitration thoroughness requires the greatest impact clarity. Often the recess 2 corresponds to the visual of the target when there is one. On the front face of the plate i is stuck a gray target 3 in FIG. i to differentiate it from its support of the same shape. The additional target 4 covers the central region of the target 3 and reproduces its exact exact drawing at this location. This partial target is removable and can be fixed by clamps 5, 6, 7, 8 making it possible to enclose both the thickness of the plate 1 and the horizontal edges of said partial target.

These pliers can be made of strip, plastic or piano wire. The partial target 4 can be provided on its rear face with a self-adhesive coating allowing the attachment without clamp on the plate and the removal without tearing.

Target for firearms, consisting of a relatively thick plate made of a material allowing good passage through the bullets and at least one target on one side, characterized in that the center of the plate is hollowed out and covered by an additional target partial or not.  2. Target according to claim 1, characterized in that the support consists of the cut plate (1) in the shape of the test pattern, and a test pattern (3) glued over its entire front face, also covering the hollowed-out part (2 ).  3. Target according to claim i or 2 characterized in that the additional target (4) is removably fixed to cover not only the recess (2) but also the surrounding region.  4. Target according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the additional target (4) is detachably self-adhesive.  5. Target according to claims i to 3, characterized in that the additional target (4) is fixed on the support pes of clamps or side clips (5, 6, 7, 8).  6. Target according to claim 5, characterized in that the clamps (5, 6, 7, 8) secure the partial target by its upper and lower edges thus allowing said partial target to laterally exceed its support.
