Abstract

The exercise device comprises a counterweighted frame (2) on which are mounted four handgrips. A central strap (5) has a stirrup (6) fixed to one end and is supported at its upper end on a central part of the frame by elastic tensioning elements (7). Description

 The present invention relates to the field of apparatus and accessories used in physiotherapy and in sporting activities, and relates to an apparatus for the education and / or rehabilitation of the trunk and the limbs.

 Currently, the physiotherapy devices used, either to allow a complementary and compensatory activity, in particular to avoid lesions and secondary arthritis in athletes, or to allow education or reeducation exercises in patients, generally only allow a single exercise or a limited number of exercises requiring a change of position, or even of apparatus for the execution of other exercises.

 The present invention aims to overcome these drawbacks.

 It has, in fact, for its object an apparatus for the education and / or the re-education of the trunk and the limbs, characterized in that it is essentially constituted by an assembly with four manual sockets mounted on a frame provided with counterweights provided non-slip elements, by an adjustable central strap provided at one end of a stirrup and fixed and resiliently stabilized at its other end in a central position on the frame, by elastic tensors of different tension forces integral with the assembly with four sockets, and at their other end, with a fixing ring for two stirrups, by an elastic chin rest secured at its two ends to the assembly with four manual sockets, by a weighted device for supporting the rest of the lower limbs and of the abdomen, adjustable in height, by a balancing counter-traction device for elastic tensors, by a locking stick under the support device, and by a support element for the neck segment header.

 The invention will be better understood thanks to the description below, which relates to preferred embodiments, given by way of nonlimiting examples, and explained with reference to the appended schematic drawings, in which FIG. 1 is a view in plan view of the apparatus according to the invention in the position of use for working on the ground in combination with a chair, with all its accessory elements, FIG. 2 is a similar view of the apparatus adapted to a rehabilitation table, and FIG. 3 represents a possible embodiment of the assembly with four manual sockets.

 In accordance with the invention, and as shown more particularly, by way of example, FIG. 1 of the appended drawings, the apparatus for education and / or re-education of the trunk and of the members is essentially constituted by a set 1 with four manual sockets mounted on a frame 2 provided with counterweights 3 provided with non-slip elements 4, by an adjustable central strap 5 provided at one end with a stirrup 6 and fixed and stabilized at its other end, in an elastic manner, in position central on the frame 2, and by elastic tensors 7 of different tension forces, integral with the set of four sockets 1, and at their other end, with a ring 8 for fixing two stirrups 22, The apparatus is provided, in addition, with an elastic chin rest 9 secured to the assembly 1 by its two ends, a counterbalancing device 10 for balancing the elastic tensors 7, a stick 11 for blocking, a device 12 for supporting the rest of the lower limbs and the a bdomen, and a support element 13 of the head and shoulders segment in the form of a small sandbag or a cushion.

 The assembly 1 with four manual sockets is advantageously constituted, as shown more particularly in FIG. 3, by a rigid lower rectilinear bar 14, and by a shorter broken upper bar 15 formed by two arms arranged with a slight inclination relative to to the lower bar 14. This bar 15 is fixed to the bar 14 by means of flanges 16 with the interposition of elastic studs 17 and articulated holding elements 18 allowing a slight flexibility of said bar 15.

 The middle strap 5 is provided with a length adjustment buckle 19 and is removably fixed to the frame 2 by means of an elastic element 20. At its other end, the strap 5 is provided with a ring 21 of fixing the stirrup 6 which is in the form of a half-strap. This strap 5 allows active stretching of the posterior dorsal plane.

 The elastic tensors 7 are constituted by elastic elements 7 'in the form of extenders of various tension forces, which are removably fixed on the bar 14 of the assembly 1 near the handles of the latter, and on the ring. 8 for fixing the stirrups 22.

The latter, as well as the stirrup 6 are not padded in order to achieve a cut-stimulation of the soles of the feet which is reflexogenic and inhibits spinal pain.

 The device 12 for supporting the rest of the lower limbs and the abdomen is advantageously constituted by a light chair 23 provided with a ballast 24 and the height of the rest surface of which can be adjusted by adding cushions. To the rear legs of this chair 23 is fixed the balancing counter-traction device 10 for the tensors 7, which consists of elastic elements which can be connected together and to the ring 8 by means of known loops. This device 10 can also be connected to the locking stick 11, which is then advantageously placed behind the front legs of the chair 23, and which is used for the low and flat fixation of the shoulders, the forearms and hands being in supination, thus allowing a non-painful overall stretching of the posterior musculo-ligament structures.

 The elastic chin rest 9 is constituted by a tensor lined with relatively low force, fixed like the tensors 7 on the bar 14, the strands of which are kept close together at the level of the chin, for tightening the latter, by means of two rings 26, made of rubber or the like, and which is provided on either side of the rings 26 with a lateral viewing blocker 27. This chin rest 9 thus forms a restoring chin rest system based on proprioceptivity allowing good positioning of the chin which has tendency to slip away in posterior break.

 The device described above and shown in Figure 1 can be easily stored with a very small footprint, almost instantly freeing up space for another activity.

 FIG. 2 represents the apparatus according to the invention adapted to a rehabilitation table 28. In this case, the assembly 1 is mounted directly on the table 28 by means of straps 29 or other removable fixing devices, and the device 12 for supporting the rest of the lower limbs and the abdomen consists of a stack of cushions, not shown, the counterbalance counterbalance device 10 being fixed to the end of the table foot 28.

 According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, not shown in the accompanying drawings, the device can also be constituted solely by the assembly with four manual sockets, the lower rigid bar of which is provided at regular intervals, between the handles, with cast iron weights forming together with the upper bar, which is advantageously made of steel, the counterweight, by the stretching strap fixed on the central part of the lower bar, and by the elastic tensors, which are fixed on said lower bar.

 The apparatus according to the invention allows, under conditions of correction and optimal relaxation of the trunk and the shoulder girdle, a whole range of dynamic or static exercises, or even stretching, the lower limbs acting as a motor and / or as a counterweight depending on the work performed. In addition, various exercises can be performed quickly without changing the position of the performer.

 The apparatus according to the invention finds its application both in the field of sport and in that of physiotherapy. Indeed, it can be used for complementary and compensatory sporting activity, in particular for the prevention of disco-ligament lesions and secondary arthritis, as well as for the treatment of conditions, such as tendinitis, abdominal insufficiency with rachialgia, poor gesture-breath coordination, gonalgia, brachialgia, or neck pain.

 In physiotherapy, it allows a global exercise respecting physiological kinetics by only allowing movements that are strictly integrated and practiced at all times in the visual field of the performer. The device also allows breathing and self-dosing work, in axial symmetry, respectful of the subject's laterality and his morphotype.

 Finally, thanks to the invention, it is possible to treat a wide range of pathological situations, such as spinal pain with respiratory or abdominal insufficiency, with hypotonia, or on a neuro-vegetative background, post-traumatic sequelae of the spine, juvenile scoliosis, pathology of belts and limbs, in particular of the neck, disorders of neuro-motor coordination by default or after injury, and educable or rehabilitative respiratory disorders.

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications remain possible, in particular from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements, or by substitution of technical equivalents, without thereby departing from the scope of protection of the invention.

- CLAIMS  1. Apparatus for education and / or re-education of the trunk and limbs, characterized in that it is essentially constituted by an assembly (1) with four manual sockets mounted on a frame (2) provided with counterweight (3) provided with non-slip elements (4), by an adjustable central strap (5) provided at one end with a stirrup (6) and fixed and resiliently stabilized at its other end in a central position on the frame (2), by elastic tensors (7) of different tension forces integral with the four-socket assembly (1), and at their other end, with a ring (8) for fixing two stirrups (22), by an elastic chin strap ( 9) secured at its two ends to the assembly (1) with four manual sockets, by a weighted device (12) for resting the lower limbs and abdomen, adjustable in height, by a device (10) for balancing counter-traction for elastic tensors (7), by a locking stick (11) under the support device (12 ), and by a support element (13) of the neck-head segment.  2. Apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the balancing counter-traction device (10) for the tensors (7) consists of elastic elements connected to each other and to the ring (8) by means of loops, and is fixed to the rear legs of the chair (23).  7.
