Abstract

The implement is used in plastic surgery to take nasal measurements, comprising two toothed plates which slide relative to one another. The teeth are shaped and angled to suit the optimum number of facial angles and nasal roots. The sides of the teeth may be chamfered, the plates being attached by transverse pins through straight full length or intermittent holes. The pins may comprise two parts which screw or clip together. A vertical slide may be used to measure nose heights and a separating band may prevent chafing of the plates.
