Abstract

The prime components of a dry, three-phase (electrical) condenser, as used for power distribution networks are contained in a box made from an insulating moulding material and sepd. by pieces of conventional printed circuit board suitably supported within the box to contain introduction of an insulating casting or potting resin to fill the spaces between the condenser cores and the walls of the box. Avoids the use (and cost) of a moulding tool for enveloping the condensers in an insulating resin. The circuit board panels may be located by the edges between rail strips on the internal surfaces of the box sidewalls. Spacing of the centres of the panels may be controlled by rib profiles up the internal faces of the insulating box.
