Abstract

The window warmed air enters a pipe and is directed by a branch to a pipe to a convector, the branch simultaneously closing a second pipe. Alternatively it closes the first pipe, opens the second and with a valve closing the inlet pipe the warm air enters the evaporator works the heat pump and exits from the building through a pipe, its heat having been used. The latter case is useful where the building is unoccupied for long periods of time and it is not necessary to ventilate used air inside the building.
